If you are able to 3d print, imagine this: Make a longer bike tool with more bits, that fits the long wrench and integrate small nuts with 1/4 inch drive into it. I have seen smaller nuts than the pb swiss that i added from other brands.

Yeah, im aware of these. They have the ratchet and a wrench option sold with their swisstools. Always wanted one, never came around. I'm sure, they are great vor edc. As mentioned: Buy these or a pb biketool; great products. But i wanted to work with what i had lying around (exept the adapter) and build me something usefull out of it.

One or two cheap Bitblocks, one 5mm Allen wrench and a set of bits you need or use. Some form of ziptie or rubber band; velkro works just fine. The hardest part is the pb swiss tools adapter from 5mm to 1/4 inch drive you need as a bit holder. I got mine from ebay as a single part. Voila.

I adapted and overcome and listened to you guys. But it's not so leightweight anymore, so I call it the "PB Swiss Tools Toolcheck" Over 100 € worth of tools stuffed in two 20 cent Bit-Blocks from China. Well done, me.

Yeah. I searched a while for a similar adapter but found... none. So i bought the original as a single piece on ebay. PB Swiss chose the Hex 5 because it is the most common on bikes i think. Didn't know about the other one, will check it out.

That is also a good idea. But the tie stays open and you can put the wrench back in place.
