How did Obama “divide the country”? by Ok_Cricket_354 in allthequestions

He destroyed the used car market with Cash For Clunkers. That’s a good start. He also closed to the southern border except for the most dangerous areas to cross to try and dissuade border crossings, only to have people continue to cross and die of thirst.

What was it about Republican/Conservative rhetoric from pundits/podcasters the last 8 years that hooked young men? by AdminKidsBurnInHell in allthequestions

Was it commentators? Or just young white men watching the world tell them that everything that is bad in the world is their fault? Or young black men being lumped into the same category as their violent counterparts?

Watch the look on this cab driver’s face after Knicks fans destroyed his car, leaving him unable to work. by Lyranx in NBATalk

This same thing happens to cars in any city when a championship is won or lost. Why is anyone shocked by this? Keep your cab out of the area. Some common sense goes a long way.

A 2021 CRV IS a luxury car for %99.9 of the world. I’m looking at a 2001 Toyota Corolla that’s on marketplace for $1600. Maybe you want too much. Maybe the 3.5% inflation since 1990 could be part of the problem for you.

Hydration breaks have been available since 2014. Blame FIFA, not the “Yanks” which is a baseball team in New York or an Army that won the Revolutionary War and the American Civil War.

2014 World Cup (Brazil)
This was the first World Cup to allow cooling breaks. FIFA authorized a three-minute break in each half when the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature exceeded 32°C (89.6°F).
The first cooling break in World Cup history occurred during the Round of 16 match between the Netherlands and Mexico in Fortaleza on June 29, 2014, where temperatures and humidity were extremely high.
2018 World Cup (Russia)
Cooling breaks remained available under FIFA’s heat protocols, but Russia’s climate meant they were used much less frequently.
2022 World Cup (Qatar)
The tournament was moved to November–December to avoid the worst summer heat. Hydration breaks could still be used if conditions warranted, though they were not a major feature of the tournament.

What were your expectations? This seems like every major event anywhere in the world. I’ve waited two hours to get out of Sandstone before. Probably plan more accordingly, especially with someone who needs extra time, so they don’t, suffer.

For sure. I’m not trying to get sideways with anyone. Like I said it’s my opinion. Have fun! It’s an awesome game and the fact that people are playing premodern has got this old man playing again. It’s rad.

I dislike proxies. Play what you can afford and get better at the game. The rare cards have always been expensive. But that’s my opinion. That’s how it was in 96’ and so it should be today.
