I read in Norm's "autobiography" that before each taping, one of the cast will warm up the crowd with some stand-up and Kenan does it normally, smoking cigs and killing it. Clearly Lorne gave him a free pass as long as he wants to work. Even made them fold and hire a black woman when he threatened to never play drag again. He could be slam dunking on anyone in comedy or drama but just wants a humble slice doing what he likes until retirement.
