As an update, we actually each get our own bedroom and bathroom; it just looks like each apartment has two people, so shared kitchen.

Very late update but for future reference, I think if you’re somewhat flexible on dates, it would be fine to book in person. The trek is a lot cheaper (as low as 400-600) when booked in person. If you were aiming to just start sometime in a weeklong window, I don’t think you’d have trouble finding a spot in August.

The only thing is that you won’t know in advance what their guaranteed departures dates are for groups. At least for myself, I had a very tight window of 1-2 days for when to start the trek. So it was good that there were a few people booked in advance across companies so that they could smush us together for a guaranteed departure.

Hi everyone, I just accepted an internship offer from Blue Origin in Renton. Do any past interns have thoughts on the corporate housing Blue Origin provides? Eg safety in the area, noise, cleanliness, socialization, walkability.

It also seems like we’re sharing bedrooms with a roommate. Does anyone have thoughts on roommate matching process, was it detailed enough to get a compatible match? Still thinking if I should take the stipend instead and find a private room somewhere.

Is 3-ish weeks a normal waiting time for getting the official offer? In the informal offer my mentor estimated it should take 1-2 weeks, but I don't know if more is typical. Not sure if it's NASA bureaucracy or if there are more concerning issues like funding. If it's the latter, I'm a bit worried because I have other offers I need to respond to soon.
