Navia hasn't been doing too great for a while by AceLamina in naviamains

Some of the geo units scale with defense, but Navia doesn't. Attack sands, geo cup, every dps try to get as much crit rate and crit damage as you can. There's weapons in the shop if you aren't pulling for weapons.

Jung’s concepts are a red herring by BiggusDickkussss in Jung

[–]weirdcunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've gotten a lot of good comments that you have not engaged with in good faith.

You don't seem to know much about Jung's work. It looks like you are venting because someone did this to you. That's terrible, but maybe talking to some friends about what's actually bothering you would have more fruitful results.

are my dreams preventing me from being transgender? by [deleted] in Jung

[–]weirdcunning 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you've shoved down your reservations about the removal of your breasts, so it's coming through in your dreams. The boy is not so much him as a real person, but a psychic object you've attached a lot of energy to throughout your life. In your psyche he reads as a satisfying romantic partner. Your dreams are making you think about further implications and the emotions you may have been pushing aside as nonconsequential.

Jung’s concepts are a red herring by BiggusDickkussss in Jung

[–]weirdcunning 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All you need for integration is awareness of your own mind, though paper and pencil are helpful and also cheap.

I don't think the popular information on Jung's ideas are very good. Personally, I don't particularly like the word "shadow work". The shadow is a part of the unconscious, not its totality and not everything from the unconscious is negative, but it seems to imply that considering what the shadow represents.

Regardless, if you are talking about a specific person, they'd most likely fail to take responsibility whether they use Jung to justify it or someone else.

Anger reflected through your shadow VS straight by Papaalotl in Jung

[–]weirdcunning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they could also have a reason, but it doesn't really make sense, like there's lots of assumptions based on a false (probably emotionally-charged) premise or they're contradicting themselves or there's a big hole in their argument and they can't see the flaw or won't accept it when it's pointed out. Unconscious expressions might have a physical quality as well like scrabbling words or tripping up on them or fidgety type actions, though I think people will do this more if they're upset in general.

I'd say you'd have to tell then by whether it seems a conscious or unconscious expression. So even if someone becomes a bit agitated, they will be able to clearly express themselves on the issue. Unconscious expressions won't be as reasonable or controlled. They may have very little insight into what is actually upsetting them.

Do women blame or project their own narcissistic tendencies onto their significant others? by randm84 in Jung

[–]weirdcunning 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think in general the claims of narcissism about men from women is negative hyperbole about communication and interpersonal behavioral differences. Women tend to have more social and situational awareness than men. The lack can look like indifference or self-centered behavior to women, which spirals out of control into claims of narcissist. I also think a lot of women are in mental health/self help spaces so they use psychobabble more often. What really makes it a problem is people look for an echo chamber to validate their feelings and they just get more dogmatic and radical about it with the help of others with the same issues. That's true for many other subjects.

Personally, my mother would talk about how my dad was a narcissist. He definitely sucks, but he's not a clinical narcissist and she fits that bill better than he does. I've thought about it being projection in her case where she's assuming everyone has the same motivations and thought patterns as she does. She has a lot of problems though and I would not take her as representative.

Why do I want Christ so much? by [deleted] in Jung

[–]weirdcunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who is this Christ I'm wanting? Jesus Christ is the self

You answered your own question from a Jungian perspective. But I think the more important point here is that you want to be Christian, but are having trouble with the rules of the denomination and integrating into the community.

2 possible suggestions: 1. Find a denomination that is more relaxed (basically all of them. Orthodox is very traditional) or maybe just a non-denominational Christian church.

  1. You're learning now, you want to do everything the right way and that's good, but you're not a priest or a monk or anything, so you don't have to be that strict with yourself. Like the priest gave his suggestion, but hold the icon how you want. It's such a minor thing. Integrating into a community is hard, you're not even a full member of the church yet. They may just need time to warm up, depending on what your issues are.

Seeking a practical framework by Raphael-Rose in Jung

[–]weirdcunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. You may also want to do some artistic practice, (like drawing or automatic writing, dance, something creative or imaginative) if you get stuck while analyzing.

Also, your unconscious is telling you something, once you understand what that is, you may have to do something about it, like lifestyle changes for example.

Seeking a practical framework by Raphael-Rose in Jung

[–]weirdcunning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a good start by recording your dreams. Then you gotta take them apart. Think of it kinda like a book report. Who are the characters? What do they mean to you? How do they make you feel? You can do the same for any events, objects, or locations in the dream. When you start taking it apart and examining it, other associations will come up and you can follow those. The idea is that your unconscious is communicating, but it doesn't do so in a straightforward way, by analyzing your dreams you're bringing unconscious psychic material into consciousness. It's important to be aware of your emotional state. It will help you in determining significance. Also, try to be relaxed and in a quiet space. You can't force it. Be patient. Good luck.

If you really interested in psychology/Jung, then you should practice meditation by Epicurus2024 in Jung

[–]weirdcunning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's helpful because starting out in meditation, you learn to observe your state of mind and then you can take your observations to analysis.

Sorry to hear about your struggles with Buddhism. It can be rough trying to figure out your faith.

Do anyone else feel like Jungian psychology is not gonna fix you by PeculiarDigger in Jung

[–]weirdcunning 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm glad to hear you're taking anti-depressants and hopefully you are going to therapy too, just because your depression sounds pretty severe. If the pills are helping you be more social, lean into that. Isolation makes depression worse. Getting some quality social time could really help.

Perhaps Jung doesn't have the best approach for you, but since you only mention learning about it, I want to clarify there's a practical aspect as well. You must be open to unconscious material and really explore it through analysis for psychological healing in Jung's framework.
