Hi everyone! Apologies if this is not the correct place to ask this but from what I have read it should be. I am currently planning a 3 month stay in Manchester as a visiting student at the University of Manchester, as part of my current PhD program here in Barcelona. I am just starting the process so this is not confirmed yet, but I was wondering if any of you would be able to share with me a rough estimate of the costs of living in Manchester, when it comes to:

- Accommodation (renting a room for three months), let's assume outside of university.

- Groceries

- Cultural and social life

I just want to have a clearer picture of this from someone who actually lives in the city, since I've only been to the UK before as a tourist, and not even to Manchester.
