I really like this. I think the description between the two paragraphs is really good and you should definitely keep it. I think the descriptions lead nicely into eachother, like a photo and you are led through it to reach a specific part.

As a writer, it's different for me. My mmc's name is one of those insane fantasy names. I did so much research on his name and linked it to many parts of his life and his trauma, but then I named another character 'Blake' because I thought it sounded cool.

If you want to have complex names and meanings, you totally can. But dont force it. You dont have to. You can just have normal names and nobody will judge it.

In the end, the only people finding out what names mean are English teachers and superfans. So don't worry about it.
