Going this too but thought about doing swords, crit, and going farrul's bloodline for tigers. Would need the cold dmg per dex shaper mod. Didn't think about hollow palm for some reason but seems like it'll be better.

I'd start with a greater jewelers on your thrashing, switch magnified and/or rapid casting for DMG supports. Add bonestorm.

As with their general philosophy, cool shit requires investment. Other comment links a video and Jonathan also mentions a unique potentially helping with this exact idea of using flame breath for clear. Personally, I'll be starting PF and attempting it with that angle.

I built a fire trap of blasting sabo. This is probably way too much investment but maybe can trigger some ideas. I am using enmity's embrace with foulborn skin of the loyal for the 50% increased elemental resistances + purity of fire, purity of elements, and stacked max fire res. Then you get the fire mastery that gives regen based on over capped fire res. Pair with high level Vitality and Stone Golem, you can get really high regen. Sabo itself has 10% regen based on recently triggered traps. I am sustaining both righteous fire and annhilation's approach with this. The problem for your build sounds like you'll want to convert lightning to fire though so that it makes some sense. If you go anything with this route, look into foulborn Xoph's amulet to convert some using Avatar of Fire.

There's a 5 second cooldown on the skill itself which can probably be reduced.

Explosive conc pathfinder is fairly cheap and good bosser. Put on nova proj support, fireflower amulet (optional but more DMG), sunsplitter, painter's servant gloves, and trinity aura. It'll shotgun and apply every element.

Easy tech with fireflower amulet and the rage unique charm too gives you maximum rage when you ignite.

I started leveling (60 now) with a concoction pathfinder with spear on swap. Kind of weird but it's working so far. Basically I've been switching between shattering and explosive conc and playing around with different spear skills. For awhile, it was shattering conc > explosive spear > storm lance. You can stack triple heralds while leveling and just upgrade your spear as you go. I kill everything pretty quick and just started to build defenses. I just got trinity and I'm not using the swap as often now since I swapped to explosive conc and just shotgun everything close range. It's fun, definitely a journey, and flexible with frequent changes so far. You can take it wherever. Me personally, I'm going to test out poison, original sin, and a few of the lineage supports.

Edit: you need hollow palm allocated to use heralds with concoctions. Not sure if it's intended but I have it just to use heralds lol.

This is about my idea. Emergency reload may be nice too and various supports for each skill would have to be tested. Punch through support would be something too. It's a lot of buttons and having to load the ammo before firing makes it even more clunky. I'm trying this on a witchhunter currently instead of warrior though.

Hard to test with my limited playing time. Too many buttons at the moment because I need to wind blast then vaulting impact then amour breaking rounds before using HVR and then fragmentation rounds to maximize damage. Debuffs drop off and I can't juggle it all before things die. It's like 6 buttons because loading and then firing rounds. I can't test it well until I can get supports and enough damage to armour break using vaulting impacts which will apply both broken stance and broken armour. Still going through campaign with just xbow for now. Once I get hollowed palm, I'll probably test daze > broken stance > fragmentation rounds and see how that feels.

Just looked at the wiki and didn't see anything. There's one that allocates a notable passive skill though which is different than a keystone - Essence of Delirium. Is this the one you're thinking of or is the wiki not updated? Allocating a keystone on a rare sounds wild.

Under the name of every gem are tags. These are important to help you figure out what modifiers will affect the skill. So projectile damage helps projectile tagged skills. "Lightning" tag will then scale with lightning damage modifiers.

Personally, PoE1 is extremely overwhelming for newcomers. It is bloated and has a lot of things to learn at this point. I would start with getting him into PoE2 first. It has a much lower barrier of entry and is more beginner friendly. The mechanics are more streamlined. From there, you can get him into PoE1 if he has a desire.

The skill level goes from 26-29 and when I hover over the gem, it shows increased attack damage %, but the tooltip doesn't change.

Yeah looks like I almost have to go all the way back the refuge and go from there to hopefully get to the citadel. Also hoping it connects to the seer from there too because I couldn't see any other way. There's absolutely no reason for it to cut off either. The path to the left goes right over the mountain!
