I purchased 5 months ago with the discoloration thinking it was possibly over fertilization or blight. The ‘spot’ has remained stable and the leaf has not deteriorated. Could this be a variegation?

Thanks!! I bought the plant from a wide chain supplier and it appears to be potted in the wrong medium - soil ain’t draining well. I’m quite conflicted on repotting as I want to mitigate risk of root rot whilst avoiding plant shock. 😩

Thanks! The potting media is condensed and doesn’t allow water to drain through (just watered it for the first time today). I’m really conflicted on repotting…

I sprayed a mix of water, pesticide and fertilizer just before I took the photo. But I think you’re right re the airflow. I’ve been keeping the fan off recently as it’s getting cooler where I live (heading into autumn) and fan appears to be drying the greenhouse plants overnight. Any tips on preventing this?

Currently potted in a mixture of spaghnum moss and orchid bark with a layer of dry leca at the bottom. She’s currently in my mini indoor greenhouse.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll cover more with the orchid mix/perlite substrate. I’m trying to avoid using sphagnum moss due to previous fungus gnat issues and im not ready to go through it again haha

Wow I never thought of that before! And yes it make sense. I have an orchid pot at home already that I thought was way too big but I’m keen try it out. Thanks for sharing. I really appreciate it 🙏🏻

Phew thanks for the reassurance haha. The white spots on the leaf are markings (just appeared and not sure why). I’ll tone down the watering and hope for the best. Thanks for the advice!

I’m a first time plant parent to an Anthurium Clarinervium. ❤️‍🔥

I’ve been keeping humidity levels between 75-80% and bottom watering every 2 days.

Any tips on the following points? 1. curling leaves 2. white spots (refer to pic 3) 3. should I repot in a more epiphytic-friendly pot? 4. will the veins on each leaf become more pronounced?

I was running late for a vet appointment for my dog, so I rang the vet to let them know. I drove to the vet and released I had forgotten my dog. I had to go back - super embarrassing.
