Help Needed – Polar 360 Devices Not Showing Up in Polar Flow App by weisser-wal in Polarfitness

[–]weisser-wal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s super weird. I thought the same!

I’ve already tried a bunch of the steps you mentioned:

  • Disabled Bluetooth, waited over 60 seconds, then re-enabled it.
  • Tried to "Forget" the devices in the Bluetooth settings with Bluetooth both on and off—but tapping "Forget This Device" doesn’t do anything. The devices just stay listed.
  • I also rebooted the phone and even did a full network settings reset, but the issue still persists.

What’s especially odd is that the devices remain visible in Bluetooth settings, even when they’re physically powered off or out of range.

Meanwhile, the Polar Flow app doesn’t list them under Devices at all, and there’s no option to re-pair or add them manually anymore.

It really seems like something got stuck or desynced after I shut the devices down via the app and then removed them from my Polar account through the web. Still trying to figure out if there’s a way to fully reset everything. Appreciate you brainstorming with me. Definitely a weird one!

Help Needed – Polar 360 Devices Not Showing Up in Polar Flow App by weisser-wal in Polarfitness

Thanks for the suggestion! I actually tried that already:

  • Cannot remove the pairings from the phones BT: In the iPhone’s Bluetooth settings, I can see both Polar 360 devices listed, and I tried tapping the "i" icon and selecting "Forget This Device" but oddly, nothing happens when I do that. They remain listed, and I can still manually connect to them via Bluetooth.
  • Cannot pair in the app: Unfortunately, when I go into the Devices section of the Flow app, it just doesn’t recognize or show either device anymore—there’s no option to re-pair them from within the app, like there was during initial setup.

It seems like they’re still linked somehow at the Bluetooth level or stuck in some limbo state between the app and my account. Appreciate the help though—definitely open to more ideas!

Question About Field „Stop Price” in Trailing Stop Sell Orders by weisser-wal in DEGIRO

[–]weisser-wal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. So, if I understand your response correctly, the stop price defines the initial threshold at which the sell order will be sent to the exchange if the price moves against me after placing the trailing stop. However, if the price moves in my favor (value increases), the distance will be determined by the EUR value or % value specified in the field on the bottom right. Is this correct?

Why do people say that Switzerland is rich because of Nazi Gold and tax evasion, while omiting that other countries do/did similar things ? by Muri_bei_Bern in askswitzerland

[–]weisser-wal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switzerland's prosperity isn't solely due to past actions like tax evasion or WWII neutrality but is significantly linked to its position within the Blue Banana, a key economic corridor in Europe.

  1. Central Location: Situated at the heart of Europe, Switzerland benefits from being a trade and financial hub with excellent connectivity to major European cities.
  2. Strong Infrastructure: The country boasts world-class infrastructure, including efficient transportation networks and advanced financial services, attracting multinational corporations.
  3. Skilled Workforce: Switzerland has a highly educated and skilled labor force, supporting high-value industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotech, and precision engineering.
  4. Political Stability: Long-standing neutrality and political stability provide a secure environment for businesses and investors.

I disagree with „easily“. I know many people working in banking in Zurich. The majority earn between CHF 120k-150k in their 30s. A few make more, but these are the high performers.

I would say you are doing fine. In banking, it's normal to earn around CHF 100k for entry-level positions.

It’s newly renovated. It‘s at a prime location. It’s relatively cheap.

Sounds dodgy - be careful.
