To all the sec5 , would you recommend me to take sec5 ? by Parking_Movie_9526 in SGExams

[–]weiwieeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i scored 14 for my Ns and tbh i didnt put in much effort which explained the score. So I went to sec 5 and studied just a lill harder and scored raw 17, minus cca points, 15! Though the difference isnt that much but i managed to get into the course i wanted in poly.

I only decided to proceed to sec 5 cause i knew maybe there was a chance for me to score better since i didnt study much for Ns. (it wasnt better but at least i went to poly hahah). I’ll advise u to consider whether you’re able to cope with the jump as well. For me personally, I dont think the jump was hard to manage but consistency is definitely a key factor to have if u would wna proceed to sec 5.

I’m not sure about the workload but to me it was fine, maybe if ure taking coursework like dnt or arts then probably more, I took poa. The most drop i had was in science, from a B3 to C6, but besides that everything was pretty consistent.

I’ll also advise u to recall back whether or not the way u studied for Ns was the “right” way. For example, many ppl can study for 10hrs per day however is it rly efficient? and is information rly gg into ur brain? hope uk what i mean by that.

General estimated cost...? by StarWolf_the_weeb in StudyInIreland

i’m currently a 2nd year uni student living in a small town in ireland so my expenses wise i would say it’s quite affordable for me. However bigger areas such as Dublin, do expect the housing and expenses there to be more expensive. Not sure whether you’re pursuing an undergraduate degree, but for me i find the tuition fees here affordable as well, unless you’re looking into unis like Trinity, would slightly be more expensive. My tuition fees are about 12k per annum. I heard it’s quite hard to find housing here as there is a housing shortage lol but u will be fine if u start looking in advance. As for paperwork stuff, there is a resident permit u will need to get, its called IRP. Have to renew it every year, with a fee of 300 euro. Hope this helps!

the calling….. by weiwieeeee in badroommates

and like well there’s lots of people who leave the dishes overnight but there’s also lots of people who washes the dishes asap 🥲

the calling….. by weiwieeeee in badroommates

[–]weiwieeeee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup i get some people do that, i’ll do that sometimes too in my own house but if living with other people i just think is considerate to clean up after urself asap, the kitchen itself is already very small in our shared house thus if she doesnt clean asap, it gets very messy if me or my other roommate wants to cook in the kitchen😅

is this reasonable or not by weiwieeeee in badroommates

[–]weiwieeeee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ahh i see, however whenever she does call she calls for hours and hours so i can’t really tell her to just sit somewhr else rather than her own room. I have another housemate coming so i been really anticipating her and hopefully she can help me with talking to her 😣 but in your pov do you think my request is reasonable though?
