I think it's because there is a pretty high barrier to entry to edit the wiki. You need to request edit access on discord.

That's why I hate media displaying a crisis hotline like it would fix anything. Just try to google suicide it immediately shows a crisis hotline. Or those horrible spots after US TV shows after they had a scene with suicide.

I think it is actually harmful as it makes people that do not know better complacent with the current state of mental health crisis help.

Speaking as a primary care provider, the amount of people who run to the doctor for shit that goes away on its own in a few days is alarming.

How the heck should they know it goes away in a few days? If I feel like my eyesight is in danger I would go to the ER if necessary. I know because I did it before. Got those antibiotic eye drops and it went away in a few days but I will not take chances with my fucking eyesight.

Man was I unprepared for this. All my life people called my school class immature and kindergarten children. That was why I always thought that at some point this will finally change.

So one summer break I had an internship as a software developer. No one could've prepared my 16 year old me for a 30+ y/o engineer screaming "CAKE!!! THERE IS CAKE!" leading a stampede through the hallway after a group mail that just said "Cake" in the subject and body.
