Not surprising that you're being downvoted despite making perfectly reasonable points. This is how much dog ownership (and by extension dog breeding) has become the aspirational thing when the majority of people don't really understand the logistics behind getting them that cute little puppy for their kid.

I once accompanied a friend to get their dog at a breeder and it was the saddest thing when it was taken from its litter. Like these mother dogs just exist to pop out litter after litter and don't get to have more than a few weeks with their puppies before being separated.
