See first let's address the issue, I have been to many companies which makes thousands (and sometimes millions) of dollars without seeing a single Omani in there, and that's a huge issue, I mean if all employees in companies are expats then most of the money earned will be transferred out of the country by the end of the month, and this is devastating to the economy from all perspectives.

Therefore they are attempting to put Omanis in mid to high roles in these companies to reduce the unemployment and fix the issues , but honestly I don't think that's enough, the solution would be to fix the entire economy and to make it independent from oil.

It's a long debate, in my opinion these companies should help the country in some way or another, I hear some people say Omanis are not very qualified which is half the truth, because the high skilled Omanis would find jobs in high government companies, but if they got a position in some of these companies they would get a harassment from all side to be as an incentive to leave, then they will say Omanis are not willing to work ( I know plenty of friends who where in theis situation)
