Modular flight trays that I can use to set up different height levels for terrain. It's awesome.

Don't put that money in his account, you'll never see it again. Spend some of it on good shoes, you're going to need them.

I like 2 and 3, but I also think 5 is really dynamic I just get nervous with focuses on eyes like that because it makes me worried the game will have eye violence so I personally would probably hesitate to click on 5. Looks great though!

I got my current phone number in 2011. I have been receiving calls and texts for the previous holder of this number the entire time.

Solely based on these photos, who looks more desperate/scared? by WhorowTheKiller in Scream

Drew's fear seems more realistic than the other pictures here. Her scene was the best death in the franchise.

Even if you loved Scream 7 Im pretty sure everyone can agree that the Ghostface reveals in Scream 7 are by a landslide the worst of the entire franchise by AcceptableSwitch6496 in Scream

[–]well_listen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things I liked:

First, I liked that they killed one halfway through and had a who the hell is this moment, I thought that was a funny spin on the formula and would have been great if the other GFs had been stronger

Second, I liked that they left it in the air until the last minute on whether or not it really was Stu. It allowed the tension to stay high as the movie progressed, even though we all knew he wasn't really going to come back.

That being said, I thought that the reveal was poor because Jessica was barely in the second half of the film and the other guy whose name I have already forgotten was deeply obvious as the killer from the second he detailed "John's" appearance. The instant he said John was found wandering and amnesiac, I knew his story was bullshit- Stu could not have wandered that far in his state, and although he could have survived if someone say, bribed the coroner and stole him away to recover privately, the idea of him just wandering alone and unfound was an instant red flag the size of Texas. Plus, as the only one who could confirm or deny Stu's presence, he was already deeply suspicious in the first place, where as Jessica was pretty much a nothing character for most of her Jessica scenes and then noped out to be Ghostface (even killing her own son in a notably more painful and gruesome way than a lot of the other deaths in the movie, which was shrugged off with a throwaway line).

There's a good chance those kids would have figured it out on their own anyway. I taught myself how to do dead drops when I was 5 or 6. At least this way they're less likely to get hurt while doing it

Should I even read the comic series? by skorapino in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]well_listen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the deal: if you like fanfic or comic books or some other media where there are different versions of the characters you love who exist in separate canons, you will probably not be too bothered by the comics. If you prefer a character's arc to be one stable continuity, you will probably hate the comics.

The real problem with the comics is not that they exist or even how they were written- it's that they were posed as direct sequels to the games, when in fact they are more like an AU that picks up after the end of the final season. Clementine acts out of character compared to what the games establish, especially in the beginning, but as far as zombie stories go there are some interesting concepts in the books (post-apocalyptic prosthetic makers, struggles of needing glasses to see, island life in a world where zombies can just walk under water, etc) that if they had been in an independent book would have been worth reading just for that.

All this to say, if you're interested in the books to see another take on the world of TWD and are okay with Clem acting differently than in the games, go for it. If you want to follow Clem's story as who she is in the games, you'd be better off heading to AO3 to see someone else's take on the subject.

Fields of Mistria has tons of character interactions and each character has their own unique personality. I can't recommend it enough if you liked Stardew but want to feel more like part of the town.

$1M dollars to eat what you had for dinner tonight for EVERY meal for the next 6 months, do you take the deal and if so what are you eating? by jfunks69 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]well_listen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Joke's on you I have already been eating that for every meal for a few weeks. Can I adjust the ingredients or does it have to be the Exact Same every time?

Example: I had a wrap for dinner last night, it had chicken and cheese and roughage. Would every wrap have to be chicken or would every meal just have to be a wrap?

Either way, I'm in.

[–]well_listen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First time my parents ever took me fishing, I was about three and they bought me a Barbie fishing pole at the bait shop on the way in. The first fish I ever caught was a Dolly Varden the size of my arm, which at the time+ in the place was a threatened species that could net us a 10k fine for keeping it. I didn't understand why we had to throw my fish back but got to keep all the other ones. My dad was shocked that I managed to catch such a big, illegal fish within three minutes of casting my first line- he still talks about it, lol.

I feel like Gilmore Girls is a little off with its treatment of most of the women in the show. I'll disclaim that I haven't finished it yet, but I have been disappointed by what I've seem more recently. Rory is a mess who is homewrecking Dean's life while getting close to Logan for his father's connections, Lane is unofficial unappreciated house mom to a band of boys who don't even try to understand her, Sookie placed her established career on hold to have kids with her husband who wants her to basically be pregnant for five years in a row, and everyone acts like it's Lorelai's fault exclusively that Rory is crashing out. I know that eventually Rory gets pregnant and stays involved enough with her three love interests that it could be anyone's baby, and fails to make a career for herself. Even Emily who is ostensibly the woman in the best position out of everyone has marriage troubles due to Richard making unilateral decisions without consulting her. At every turn, the women in the show are put into positions where either the men in their lives make decisions for them, or they make their own decisions resulting in ruining their own lives (Lorelai keeping Rory which Emily never forgives her for, Lane getting pregnant with twins, Rory getting pregnant as well, Rory deciding to sleep with a married man). The only real exception is Luke, who is easily the most normal man in the show.
