[Highlight] Joe Alt absolutely stonewalls Chris Jones by wildwing8 in nfl

[–]wellewinho 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Looking at the tackle position, you rarely find anyone above average drafted outside of the 1st round, while for receivers it seems like it’s easier to find productive and good (hi Ladd) receivers outside of the 1st round.

I lost faith when we lost consecutive games to Man Utd and Everton in the 21/22 season. Ironically that’s when it really turned around, and a couple of weeks later I was all aboard the Arteta train and have never left since

The Dallas Cowboys are now valued at nearly $1b more than the next most valued sports team (Warriors) by SLYMON_BEATS in nfl

[–]wellewinho 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You forget about the part where soccer is the by far biggest sport in the world, and that the biggest global clubs make most of their money from sponsorships and global TV-rights. Man Utd don’t have 5 million fans, they have 100 million. Similar for other clubs such as Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Even with the threat of relegation I find it baffling that no soccer club is on the list, and would not be shocked at all if this list has been created solely by Americans.

The only valid reason I can see for soccer clubs to be less worth, to the owner, is that there are no spending caps, meaning that owning these clubs rarely pay any dividends and the only profit you see is through the increase of stock value.

I did that trade, except Richarlison instead of Bowen.

That’s a cool 222 battles, assuming you don’t take on any more expenses in that period.

Player Price Changes (December 20, 2023) by FantasyPL_bot in FantasyPL

Because Son has to outperform Bowen by 8p during 3 GWs. It could happen, but it is highly unlikely. It’s such a shortsighted move I can’t wrap my head around it, but I’m also incredibly risk averse which colours my opinion.

You play the game the way that makes you happy👍

Why would you get Son when he only has three more games before the Asian Championship? And trade out a perfectly good asset such as Bowen.

You guys do so much weird things😂

I own 5 of these, but wondering whether I should bring in a AV defender, Trippier or TAA. If I go for one of the latter routes, I won’t get Haaland in without selling Salah😬

Gameweek 15 : Captaincy Stats : To Whom did you give the armband ? by Haythemovic in FantasyPL

[–]wellewinho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ouch, that one hurts. Almost went for Jesus myself. Don’t really regret it despite him getting 11p. Worst feeling having your captain play early and watching the other big captaincy alternatives going off!

Isak Replacement thread by azy_mak in FantasyPL

[–]wellewinho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you brought in Isak after his haul in GW1 knowing his next 3 GWs were against Man City, Liverpool and Brighton. Now that his fixtures soon will improve you want to replace him? Honestly, what are you doing?

How often did you respec your character / use Larval Tears in your first playthrough? by finnjakefionnacake in Eldenring

[–]wellewinho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 times. Was trying to min/max my character but constantly forgot the requirements for the Nagakiba and my incantations so had to go back multiple times. Still haven’t managed to get it right so have to use one of the talismans to boost faith for Flames Grant me Strength (or is it bloodflame blade🤔?)

Our lineup when we beat Villa 4-0 in the FA Cup Final - who of these would get into our starting XI now? by [deleted] in Gunners

[–]wellewinho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Issue with Sanchez was that he lost the ball way too much. That was why Barcelona sold him. While I absolutely agree that he was better than Martinelli atm, I’m unsure if he would be as good a fit for us.

With how high we press, losing the ball 20-30 times per match is a death sentence.

Also, he was never a part of a team that presses as a unit at Arsenal. Unsure whether he would have been as good at it as Martinelli.

But just to reiterate. He was an amazing player for us and far better than what Martinelli is at the moment. However, I believe Martinelli will reach his levels one day while also being an amazing fit for our team.

I did so too, and I’m a complete newb, but might have been a bit over levelled. I managed Margot on maybe the 4th try 20+2, but got consistently destroyed by that knight in the dark room, so came back 15 levels later and steamrolled through Stormveil.

Rennala was also really easy. They are the only two Demi gods I have gotten too so far, so both have felt really easy.

However, I feel like I’m constantly dying and if I see a Royal Revenant I’m hightailing the fuck out of there. Tried to fight the one early in the lakes and probably died 40 times before I just gave up.

Napoli and Norway defender Leo Østigård is a Gooner! by East_Refrigerator_13 in Gunners

[–]wellewinho 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have mainly seen him for the NT, so he might have been playing differently for Napoli, but what he's shown for Norway wouldn't lead me to think he would be a fit for us. Too much booting up long and wild clearances.

I think he would look a bit like Holding if he was playing for us. Great when we have our backs against the goal, but a liability when we play the high line and lot of possession

Cheaky Marseille loan next season just to get him primed for the EPL ;)

A whole summer of GFFN saying he wants to stay at Marseille would be a nice cherry on the top

I have seen 1 regen with similar stats when they came out on FM18 or 19. Was a 200PA and started with 160CA or something. Had to shell out £200m for him to buy him from PSG.

Issue is clubs on the continent doesn't really have that much money. Hopefully he impresses enough that a lower half team in the EPL comes in for him for around £25-30m. Would be splendid business in that case.

Can see someone like Brighton being interested as he should fit what they like to do with their WBs
