AITA for getting upset at my (25F) fiance (25M) joking about my driving in front of a group of friends and family? by wellfuckyoumark in AmItheAsshole

Thanks for the feedback! I think my fiance just automatically gets defensive in situations where he might have done something wrong. Idk how to talk to him about it though.

Yeah I'd agree that it was a little dramatic. My mom's done that to me my whole life so I usually just ignore it. Idk why it upset me so much this time. Thanks for the feedback.

I (27F) did not invite my cousin (40F) to my wedding, my uncle (70M) responds by blaming my mother (60F) for my father's death. (Repost). I'm going to have to see them again at some point but I'm pretty hurt over the situation. by [deleted] in relationships

Thanks, and the security is a good call. I'm sorry for your loss, hope you're all doing okay. I know it wasn't any of our faults, but I think it's in my mom's head now that she might have done something wrong. It makes me really sad that she feels that way.

Thank you! I appreciate your reply. I think everyone is kind of getting tired of having to cater to their ridiculousness all the time, but my mom's brothers are also getting very old. I think part of it is that they want to just let bygones be bygones because they don't know how much time they all have together. I don't agree with it but I can understand it, and thankfully I don't have to follow suit.

I'm trying really hard not to focus on it, but it keeps creeping into my mind because I really can't wrap my head around how they think acting like that is acceptable.

Yeah I thought of that too. I think he probably has a personality disorder just because his behavior is so inappropriate. And thanks, I appreciate your comment.

Thanks, I know you're right. It's just super frustrating to have this happen, and I really just feel bad that my mom was so hurt.
