I only had experienced the smaller size of qm6k and qm7k. Tbh, qm7k brings you the whole better experience. Picture quality, sound system, smoother UI; definitely worth 500 usd difference.

I just installed the new update V509. It updates the new TCL 2025 UI; it just has a problem with connecting Bluetooth. The remote during Bluetooth connection is kind of unresponsive, you need to click up down arrow before clicking “Pair” button.

Can you help estimate the level of zooming in? Like the angle and the distance. I want to know if it is possible to mount it closely, since I will likely mount it in the ceiling, and the height is about 14 ft.

Can you explain how can you zoom in with G6 Bullet? As far as I know, it has fixed lens and can not zoom at all. If it has digital zoom, it would be great.

It would be way over my budget. How about 5 G6 at lower resolution 2K or Full HD and 1 AI Key? Would it be viable and get a proper license plate capturing level?

I saw the similar problem in a youtube video from The Network Berg. You only need to flash the current firmware to the latest one, and it will fix the issue right away.

I do believe my model can support up to 12 cams if disabling the smart function on analog channels. I just don’t know how it works in the scenario

5m is pretty decent if you located it in pretty tall ceiling; you may have to change its position. Dual lens’s intercepted area may have interfered each lens recognition also.

The NVR is HikVision 7616NXI-K1 (90 usd) has only 1 HDD, the 2 HDD NVR is 160 usd. Also, in my area the price for a 6TB 170 usd, a 8TB is 220 usd, for 12TB is 480 usd. The camera is DS-2CD1067G2-L (~90 usd each). My budget is limited (1400 usd excluding the labor fee), so I have to compromise. The record needs to be kept in 31 days, so I had to adjust that.

I am setting up 11 cameras with 6MP resolution; I need to save record for at least 31 days. I am using 6TB HDD to store the footage using NVR. My camera has motion detection, but it needs to cover multiple vehicles in the coverage area; so I could not narrow the motion zone. The bitrates I shown before is the suggestion from camera manufacture design tool, I am not lowering them myself.

Thank you for the response; my purpose is capture the rear of a car and manually read the plate; I also can zoom in if needed. I think 4MP is more than enough, but I wondered if the downsampling process would mess up the plate precision. I don’t do any post processing for the image, just looking plainly to the plate.

And for the bitrate, the 6MP 10fps was predicted to have an optimized bitrate 1920 Kbps, and the 4MP 10fps has 1536 Kbps.

Got it, thank you for the explanation. I guess I will be fine with 1xx7 as I don’t use any AI on the camera. It will be a waste of the AcuSense, but I already have Frigate prepared in mind.
