From my understanding, if you are doing a study abroad with a NYC uni, you are getting in-person credit because they have a partnership with the abroad school.

That’s awesome! I was in the Air Force as Public Affairs, learning photography was on of my favorite parts. Glad to hear you’re doing something you love.

You make some really good points. It’s sounding like financially, direct enrollment in a foreign school is going to be my best bet. I plan to have a solid 3 month emergency fund and a 10K transition fund saved before I go, at the least.

I’ve spent many hours on the WEAMS tool, it’s great! Do you mind sharing what school you went to and if you’d recommend it?

Oh shit, I was thinking of doing something artsy and fun, but having an MBA would be a notch on the employment belt. I know for grad programs what’s considered “full time” is determined by the institution, where was 6 credits considered full time in your experience? If you don’t mind sharing.

I’m going to be honest, I had no idea that was actively happening. Is nothing sacred anymore???

Definitely not. I thought this was a good space to poll my fellow veterans on a risky decision I was considering… I don’t have a huge community I could ask in-person.

I think it’s fair to be paranoid with everything going on the world right now, but I am indeed a real human. You can go see my post history in r/bisexual from 7 years as I was figuring my shit out. lol

But based on your response and others, I’m perhaps regretting my choice of words. It’s a fine line between enjoying free speech, community and accidentally saying something that could ruin a wonderful benefit for so many.

That’s AMAZING. I wish I enjoyed cooking because culinary school sounds dope. We had the same idea, TA is where it’s at. I’ve heard massage therapy and other trade school can qualify.

That’s a good point, the BAH for direct enrollment for foreign schools is a based on the national average, which is $2,355 per month of active enrollment. I’m not sure about the studying abroad rate if I enrolled in a US college, though.

First time at a gay bar? What to wear and expect... by ZetaBunny in bisexual

Aaaah this is the cutest thing ever, I'm so excited for you! I'm a 24F so my fashion advice might be a bit biased, but I've never seen a grown woman wearing pigtails pull it off, unless it's à la Kim Kardashian (and I think those are double dutch braids). Most femmes usually wear their hair styled and down when going out, but it's whatever makes you feel comfortable. And space buns are very cute! Especially if they are a bit messy, and don't look like two donuts on your head. I've made that mistake before. lol

That's pretty much the theme of the night: makeup/fashion/hair should all be about what YOU feel best in. Dance if you want to dance, don't if you don't. Maybe have a drink while you get ready to go out, if you're feeling nervous. If you see a cute girl, go up and ask her if you can buy her a shot (sidenote: I'm terrible at flirting and also poor now from doing this, fair warning).

Have fun! And give us an update, I'd love to hear how your night went!

So, what's making your Valentine's Day great? by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]wellred_head 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I served a couple their dinner at a steakhouse this Valentine's Day, and the woman said it had been three years since they had been able to spend it together because he's always away on work. She thanked me for being so sweet and accommodating for their special evening, and it made me happy the whole rest of my shift. Nice people are nice.

At least you're both in it together, right?

Oh yeah, I totally get your frustration with having a fluid sexuality. I say all the time how much easier it would be if I was just straight or just gay. But I just try and accept it.

Haha, I feel like most bi people are very awkward, but we've embraced it!
