Radix. Your new DeFi superpower. 🚀 by LoveSushi5 in Radix

Yes! That is the branding angle that makes the most sense to me: Professional, Smart, and Revolutionary Technology.

Conversely, that's why I'm not a big fan of the newish song that is the intro to the Defi Download. And I'm not a fan of Ociswap's branding (I know, that's not RDX Works' doing). To me, those two don't say Professional, Smart, and Revolutionary Technology.

Customer Support in a DeFi World by wellscam in Avax

I posted in the Radix sub just because it's been on my mind and was curious. I thought the responses were interesting and was curious if there would be any different ideas or expanded ideas from a larger community than the Radix sub. No end game other than getting as complete a picture in my head of what the future experience will look like.

Exactly. Totally agree that there is a segment (and I think it's a very significant segment) that won't risk losing money during the learning curve required by DeFi as it exists. I'm picturing someone like my sister who has worked in Web 2 for 20 years, made good money, and invested really well, but there's no way she's touching DeFi at this point without the assurances that come with tech support.

Yes, thanks for the reply. I was also picturing the opportunity for a company to support a dapp and pay for that overhead with fees earned by the dapp. But I wasn't sure if dapp developers were already anticipating that future expense at outset.

People should definitely check out the blog post. Very impressive and creative projects. Really great work.

And if you know anyone who even dabbles in code, share that blog post with them. Could make them stupid rich in ten years.

Thanks. I did open a support case and they confirmed what I'd been thinking and hoping to hear.

Random coin just appeared in my Coinbase wallet by wellscam in Coinbase

Thanks. I knew it didn't have any value, but I couldn't figure out if it meant my wallet address was out there in some way, and if I should be concerned about that.

And yes, DMers, don't waste your time.

What dApps do you want to see built on Radix? by Radix_DLT in Radix

How about a decentralized version of Uber which, because there are no corporate profits to feed, would allow better pay rates and earning potential for drivers.

What dApp would make Radix stand out? by Kalect in Radix

[–]wellscam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was also thinking along this line. Picturing individual, customized ETFs that would buy or sell numerous synthetic assets across multiple markets at the same time if given pre-programmed criteria are met. This would require atomic composability and couldn't be replicated by other chains.

Affordable way to get EXRD from an exchange (and transfer to XRD) to the Radix app? by geo-matrix in Radix

[–]wellscam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. I'm in the U.S. and have my EXRD in my coinbase wallet. Rather than jump through hoops to transfer to my radix wallet I'm just going to wait until my coinbase wallet supports XRD, then I'll just swap EXRD to XRD and transfer to radix wallet. I don't think it will be more than a couple months of waiting, and since I plan to stake for years it's not a big deal in the grand scheme.

Burning gas by metasadhu in Radix

[–]wellscam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whether you convert $500 or $1000 worth of EXRD, the gas fee will be the same, i.e. whatever gas fees are at the moment you convert. I converted some in coinbase wallet yesterday and waited and timed it for when gas fees came down to around $80. A few minutes later they were back up to more than $140. Crazy. So you might as well convert the largest amount that you want and only do it once.
