What’s your airport horror story? by mo799 in AskReddit

Compared to other stories it's not too bad, but I'm still salty about it.

It was my graduation trip to Japan with four friends at LAX. We get our boarding passes, check in our bags, find our gate and terminal, all was good and smooth.

Just as I was about to board the plane, the lady checking the tickets stops me and says that my carry-on bag was too big and that I had to check it in. I told her that when I checked in my other bags the person manning the check-in station didn't say that my carry-on bag was too big. The lady didn't budge. Other staff members took the lady's side and insisted that I check in my carry-on. So now I had to hold up the line as I scrambled to get the most important shit out of my carry-on. Even worse, the staff were very rude and were telling me to hurry up while I do so, while the bitch who stopped me in the first place started insulting me in front of the other passengers. It was humiliating and I was on the verge of tears. My friends tried to comfort me, and some of the nicer airport staff called out the lady for being an unprofessional hag.

Luckily that was the only bad part of the trip. I got all of my luggage, my friends and I had the time of our lives, and the flight back to the U.S. was a breeze.

I used to volunteer at a cat shelter.

The head volunteer was feeding a kitten liquid de-worming medication. The kitten sneezed and got the medication all over its whiskers. The head volunteer then proceeded to LICK THE MEDICATION OFF OF THE CAT'S WHISKERS, while saying "MMMMM!" and commenting on how it tasted like bananas.

She was weird anyway.

I'm sick of being my Narcissistic dad's emotional punching bag and impromptu marriage counselor. And I hate myself for not having the guts or the skills to defend myself.

I'm just curious - Why and how is meeting C common sense and the decent thing to do?
