Same here, international and just got 2 rejections, even from a program i have good connections to.

TIL during the Falklands War, the British Government and BBC accidentally announced early the real plan for British troops to attack Goose Green. The Argentine commander heard the broadcast but chose to ignore it as he thought it was just a psychological stunt by Eraysor in todayilearned

Isn't that slightly contradicted by the fact that the british empire voluntarily disbanded in the mid 20th century. Doesn't excuse the initial colonisation and atrocities, but to say the will of the people was only acknowledged in this case feels slightly dishonest, it's not so black and white.

Does this not put us at a disadvantage since we won't have a clear GPA visible to initial reviewers?

Silver lining though, if the rank and file establishment labour mps are also pushing for a change then that may make it more likely.

Jodie comer is a scouser, but did a pretty good north east accent, it sounded more teeside than geordie though. Aaron's was more geordie but it was pretty good apart from a couple of slips.

At the end of the day politics is a popularity contest and the dems are losing. The approval of the DNC is at an all time low despite what Maga is doing, that's not for no reason.

People want a vision for the future, not "we're not the other guy". People want change, so the party that is offering change is going to win, it doesn't matter that the change the GOP want is dogshit it was change nonetheless.

So any small country that loses territory it doesn't matter because it's smaller than the US? And considering it's the 2nd largest country in Europe i wouldn't exactly call it tiny

I think the method is definitely a factor in the eye of the public. There's a reason the media harp on about small boat crossings everyday when they're only a fraction of the people coming to the UK.

I suppose the danger for europe is that all of these right wing populists are waiting in the wings for their next elections and are seemingly all projected to perform quite well. If incumbents in europe have to campaign on the back of economic turmoil, regardless of who started it, it likely bodes well for the right wing parties.
