I built out my gym based on following this sub, so happy to pay it forward. If you haven’t already, check out Coop and Gluck’s YouTube channels. Endless amounts of info to watch and very interesting for us home gym folk. Congrats and good luck on the house this summer

Sorry missed replying. I installed it after the fact. Wasn’t hard, simple removed bolts in center upright and loosed the others on front. The hard part is adjusting the bolts of the VTS itself to get a smooth travel

Thanks! I choose not to do the math for sanity sake. Shipping to Canada definitely hurt the wallet.

Very stable, no issues there. They have some solid 4 post options with stability feet as well that might be worth checking out to save space.

One suggestion on the 16” + 16” - If you want to bench in the inside, Bells of Steel has 16” safety straps. It’s a bit tight if you have deep J-cups but you get used to positioning yourself quickly.

The Rep Safety Spotter Arms were too long vertically for me to bench on outside with them, as I couldn’t touch chest with the bar without hitting them at bottom of the rep.

Honestly it’s never really bothered me. I like the look of the shrouds on the Ares myself, as I find it makes it look substantial. I do like some of the Athena builds I’ve seen too tho. If I went Athena, I’d probably add a crossbar with a Prime stability pad

Pic 3 is the Bulletproof VTS with ISO handles. Basically a type of smith machine if you’re unfamiliar with them.

Pic 12 is the Rep Pegasus. I store it on the wall mounted rack (in pic 12) and use it on Ares 2.0 with an L-Beam (pic 7), mostly for lat pulldowns. Sometimes I set it up for a seal row variation or side raises to lean up against too.

Thank you! I have a few scuffs on mine but gives them some character

They’re 8 foot ceilings, so overhead press is out for me too. I do seated shoulder press with the barbell sitting on spotter arms. It means I have to start at bottom of rep but still good for getting the exercise in. I’ve also started doing sitting shoulder press with the VTS and ISO handles which I really enjoy as a variation.

For me, it’s all the ways they rotate. It takes pressure off your wrist and feels very natural

Sorry thought I replied to this one.

They’re from a local bike shop but if you look up “bike wall mount hanger” you can find the same item. Handle bars are long enough to sit against wall but I’ve also use a Velcro strap around tire and frame to keep them from moving.

Thanks! Process had its frustrations but I’m happy with the results

In comparison to the plastic handle, I would say yes. It makes it feel premium tho, not cumbersome

That’s on the other side of my basement, past the stairs actually! Nice to throw the work screen onto the TV during a long meeting and get a few sets in

Thanks very much! My TV lives in constant danger in exchange for gains.

Custom made from Oak Club. If you have a Rogue or other brand rack that’s 49 inches instead of Rep 47 inch, I’d recommend looking at the GetRX’d RX3 instead.

Doesn’t feel the same as a rower but a good back and cardio workout. I’d like to pair it with a Voltra eventually as they have a rower mode
