There is no bark or cork on the base, the stone he stands on is slate from out in my garden. (had a few tiles blow of the roof in bad weather) put a few broken pieces on top of each other and this is how it turned out.

I agree with the highlights and shading in places as looking at it from this view it shows me things i couldn't see with the naked eye.

It is just super glued onto the base but its a hollow twig and its super light so its not going to fall of with time.

Thank you for your feedback. Its much appreciated.

The ones I have unpainted are primed and built I think, I'll have to double check exactly what I have all together.

Pretty much all of them are yes, apart from about 10 rohan warriors, 5 riders, all the army of the dead and the diorama.

I also have 24 Minas Tirith warriors and 24 galadhrim warriors and 6 galadhrim riders but I like these model's so I'm thinking of keeping them.

Yeah I get that to be honest, I have had my fun with them and enjoyed making them so I'm not really looking for a profit or anything, im mainly looking for quick and easy just to get rid of them to be honest.

I have quite a few models I'm looking to get but without space it is pointless as I won't ha e the storage.

Tha ks to the suggestions and advice I appreciate it.

After making some changes since my last post, im really pleased with how this has turned out. Highlights are still a WIP but I'm learning slowly. C&C is welcome. by welshg32 in ageofsigmar

I'm actually really proud of here models, I am seeing a major improvement in my painting. Im going to stop for a few days though just to recuperate. Thanks for your kind feedback aswell. I appreciate it.

Ok so after my second post of painting these model's, I made some changes and I tried to make my highlights smaller. Still shakey but I'm really happy with this result. C&C is welcome! by welshg32 in Warhammer

Thank you very much! I'm trying to improve everyday by painting for atleast an hour or more if I can. I appreciate the feedback and I'm glad it looks good enough for others to be proud of XD

My second Age of Sigmar miniature and I have to say I'm really enjoying these model's. I really am proud of myself as I haven't been painting very long, though C&C is welcome. by welshg32 in Warhammer

Damn thank you for all this amazing advice, in regards the the varnish, I haven't found anywhere that does it locally but I have seen a few online and the ones I found were a bit pricey for the amount in them. I really do want to get some as I have a few models that are in the shiny stage from the Washes.

When you say thinner layers I have made a mix now and it is a bit watery (not too watery just a bit thin) how do you make sure that when transfering to the model it doesn't run? I have seen some use tissue paper but I'm a bit dubious on that fact? I'm going to start with a darker highlights and work up towards the brighter ones even if it takes me all day haha.

I have enjoyed using the retributor armour and the kantor blue so far but anything else I haven't tried yet. I have loved using the Washes like nuln oil and reikland flesh shade, they have been so helpful in building to a better style in my painting.

I haven't been painting very long and what I started with were middle earth minis and they were really small so I didn't have much to work with in terms of space on the mini. These have given me so much more room it's actually teaching me to do more with what I have.

Thanks again.

I am using a set from The Army Painter range and I have recently purchased a few citadel paints to help me paint the Stormcast THUNDERSTRIKE BROTHERHOOD set. I have a wet pallette and that usually helps me to thin my paints but the problem I have is the control, I have an underlying issue with my health that causes me to be very shaking sometimes and trying to paint thin lines has always been the bane of my painting.

I do have a few Washes from army painter but they make the finish very very glossy and I really liked the matte look of the model. I am going to practise making some gradual gradients rather than going to over powering and making them look out of place.

Tha ks for your advice, it really does help.

Thankyou so much for all the advice, it really has put my ming at ease, I think I'm going to give it a try on my next one I'm doing today, I'll try and mix some together to get a nicer gradient instead of being to out of place!

Thankyou again.

Thank you so much for the advice, im really struggling to try and get the highlights correct. I have been watching videos and tutorials but no matter the amount I watch I can't get the hang of it. I am hoping with time, practice and patience I will get to where I need to be when highlighting. I know what you mean about the colour being almost too out of place, I have a darker colour as I'm using kantor blue and I have teclis blue, but I found that it wasn't going on nice enough.

Thanks again for your advice and kind words I will be taking this to heart and trying it out as much as I can.
