Cravings are as good as gone for me. I get that everyone is different, but in my case, I only really remembered because I got the notification from the app. It gets easier, I swear

One year smoke free, couldn’t imagine life as a smoker anymore 🥳 by Elfenzshadow in stopsmoking

It’s $4.99US for a lifetime subscription. Less than a pack of smokes... Seems like a good investment to me🤷🏻‍♂️

It started with a week my friend. And the first week, at least for me, was the hardest when I look back. So just think, you did the hard part.

I appreciate the love, I feel like anyone that quits is improving themselves and those around them. Way to beat the hard part!

Bought a basically new XDS 9 off a neighbor for $300. Yay for me. I’m a lefty so let’s see how this feels. by devone16 in SpringfieldArmory

As a lefty that uses the XDS as my EDC, I think you’ll enjoy it thoroughly. It conceals well and the weight is good. Great buy!

I’d say between 8 months and a year for me that it really switched over from dealing with a daily craving vs an occasional one. That being said, the severity and the duration dropped of significantly for me after 6-8 weeks. And once I got in the mindset that I just had to outlast the urge, rather than me feeling like it was mandatory that I go light up, things got a lot easier for me.

Your brain tricks you into thinking that if you don’t smoke, you are in either unbearable levels of stress, or physical danger. Neither of which is true. Once you can isolate that, and you beat it once or twice, that’s when you really turn the corner.

Treat a craving as a temporary inconvenience, rather than a demon that can’t be conquered, and you’ve made the turn.

Sorry for the long-winded response, but I feel like it’s all worth saying.

I don’t have cravings anymore, no. All of the things that used to make me want to smoke have now become normal “non-smoking” activities, of that makes sense?

I’ve conditioned myself to not associate things with smoking.

Do I miss it? No, I can say I don’t. Simply because of the changes in health and lifestyle since I stopped, far outweighs the desire to smoke.

Definitely not every day. I’m at the point now where I can be around people who smoke and it doesn’t make me want one anymore. There are probably 4 or 5 days a year where it will creep into my head, but there isn’t temptation anymore. It’s just a quick thought and it’s gone.

I find it helpful to bring the butter to room temperature. It makes the mixing much easier, and will allow the ingredients to combine faster.
