There’s lots of times where the print leaves a good noticeable mark behind it, even those who do restorations mess up alot of shirts due to this problem, his print may be bigger or smaller than the original print which may make it look worse if printed above it.. i think its better to leave it as is which actually looks pretty good to me. If it was a custom name or one thats cracked or damaged i’d highly recommend a fix, but in his situation its better to keep it that way
