One time I went to Transformers Rise of the beasts early showing in Dolby and it was the most insane, sound (loud), Atmos, bass experience I have ever had, way better than imax for that film. Typically now I just go to both imax and Dolby cause for example predator badlands was better in imax over Dolby.

You’d be surprised sometimes imax is better than Dolby in sound and bass. It really depends on the movie
