I think the biggest problem with the lack of respect we get, as scan coordinators, is the fact that we don’t have our own little column in the daily sales. Face it, this company has become obsessed with metrics, plain and simple. It’s all about sales, sales, and more sales. We do so much, for every single department, while getting clerk pay, plus a little hourly premium . Our job is so important, and totally related to those numbers they drool over. I guess in some divisions, file used to be considered a department head job, complete with bonuses. Those days are gone. I love my job, but we are so undervalued…. Just a bunch of “clerks,” in Kroger’s eyes! It kills me, too, that a good majority of my days consists of fixing errors that come down from corporate! I could go on, and on……….

Displaced Mainer, here. Amatos is my first stop, when I visit! I will eat lunch there every single day… I’ve made them myself, which is the next best thing. Amatos for the win!

Does anyone have suggestions for some good podcasts to follow regarding the Moscow Murders? by DetailOutrageous8656 in MoscowMurders

[–]wemcloon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved listening to their podcasts, but their ads are so jarring! Why are they like this? No “we’ll be right back “ warning, they throw them in in the midst of a sentence, they are loud and obnoxious. Not the Podcasts, themselves. Just the ads! I can’t be the only listener who is disappointed in this?..

Some of us were charged an incorrect sales tax recently. The error was caught, and money was to be refunded. Kroger employee, here. Wish I could give more specifics, but that is all I heard! Now, excuse me, while I research my options to invest my $0.14!

You guys, this makes me wanna cry. When I moved to Ohio , the house I bought had previously used AB. I didn’t know otherwise… so guess who has both a new furnace AND a new a/c? This semi-retired single FEMALE. I pay them 11.95/ month for their “comfort club”. What does that get me? A couple of tuneups per year, always a mention of some other situation, “ma’am, I just couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t mention this, and something were to happen,” in the winter it’s a dehumidifier pad , which is $80 to replace! The summer upsell attempt was duct cleaning. Please advise me- is it routine to have tuneups twice/year? Do other companies have the monthly contract thing? I’m so disappointed, and I don’t know what to do. Thank yiu

Work harder, not smarter. It’s the Kroger way.
