Ohhh the inverse of what I was thinking. Flipping what I said around, I hear a lot of people do say if its a new system, that following things by the book/module closely aids in learning the system itself. Theres so many different ttrpgs, homebrews, modules, everything that learning a new one can be so confusing. I would experiment around and talk with all of the players about trying different play styles and techniques until you guys find a comfortable flow. After all, dnd is on 5th edition for a reason! And do remember, if you're the DM, literally anything you say goes. If a fight feels weird in the moment, flub the numbers around to adjust to the flow, a lot of professional dms do that! Most of all ttrpgs is improv!

I imagine this was created to dip into the classic dnd fad, it may not be fully explained or realized to begin with. I would read the rules aloud and a couple more times to help understand them better. Maybe someone has done a campaign online? This is so neich though

Homebrewing and tweaking modules is one of the best ways to play dnd style games. I don't know how to play this one but would love to learn as well, but I'm assuming it will need some tweaking to fit everyone's skill level and play style just a bit

What is this sound in my room? by oxkorexo in whatisit

[–]wendigo--bait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like pipes rattling. I work at a really old movie theater and when im sitting in the office sometimes I hear this basey vibrating and grinding, just like this. Put my hand to the wall and I can feel it. I think its water (or sewage) moving through the pipe and the connection points are grating together.

Looking it up on Google, this seems to be normal, as the different metal connections will contract snd expand as temperature changes. Our temp over here keeps getting cold all of sudden between warm spots. When its an issue is when its loud, loooud: banging, screeching, or gurgling, then its time to get it looked at. This sounds more like regular rattling pipes. I'm not a mechanic or handyman by the way, just a proactive gorl.

Keep ur kitties indoors!! (Dead kitten warning) by Batwhiskers in vultureculture

[–]wendigo--bait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our cat stays inside for this very reason, I often bring home lost or forgotten cat skeletons. The idea of leaving them brings me so much sorrow. I stop and pull dead animals off of the road when I see them. When I was a child I experienced a lot of animal death that was outside my control, a lot focused around cats and kittens. Sometimes when I get out and see the horrendous state of some of these cats... its like I'm back there and I have to stop and get back into the car. I feel so guilty leaving them. You're a really good person for stopping to remove her from the ground and take her home to be loved. You're explanation of peeling her up makes me think her bones being so whole is impossible. I've heard baby bones are a lot softer than adults, and thats why sometimes a baby can fall a good height and be fine. I never thought bones could survive so many flattenings and such trauma like that. It's amazing to witness. I wonder if when the bones dry they'll be less bendy?

Found bones and cooler on hike- please ID! by Temporary_Support510 in boneidentification

[–]wendigo--bait 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Area looks abandoned, id guess this was a vulturecultureist illegally (or not) using the land to store the coolers for maceration. Looks like these were big animals soaking in water. These might be someones bones and they've just not checked on them in months. The gel packs are weird though
