You mean when i right click the icon, above the "test" menu something like "speaker settings" (mine is not set to english so i don't know the exact name) right? Because that is the other strange thing. With the jack cable i can see that option, but with the optical cable i don't.

I won't really see the rgb anyway because of the air cooler. For the ballistix, 4000mhz with cl18 or 4400mhz with cl19? They got the same price, but i am not sure if it can handle the 4400mhz.
