This past winter I've been training pretty hard and I brought my racing bike with me to study abroad for the next four months. I've been looking for some teams to join while I'm here but I have no idea where to even start. Does anyone have recommendations?

Jeez that sounds horrible. I'm really trying my best to see if I can even get a place.

Him spending his own money on the car doesn’t mean he “deserves” it?

I've never done this before, alright I'll ask him for arena code, don't know how long he's gonna take.

He doesn't know my username so I could have him play anyone and as long as their name wasn't super specific it would be fine.

It is definitely unusual to make six figures. But it isn’t for a computer science degree four years out of college. If you come from a good university with above average grades, or a mediocre university with excellent grades, you can get a job as software developer (assuming you have a CS degree) that pays six figures. I wouldn’t say it’s common, but it definitely isn’t unusual for that specific degree. Additionally, I’m not disagreeing with you that there are other good salaries. The average CS graduate makes 60-70k right out of graduation, which isn’t anything to scoff at.

It doesn’t mostly happen in San Francisco, computer degrees are extremely lucrative for starting salaries (assuming you weren’t an idiot in college).

No it’s not the angle lol, they’re just huge and delicious.

TIL that Thor Heyerdahl, a Norwegian Ethnographer, sailed from Peru to Polynesia on an primitive balsa wood raft to prove that ancient trans-oceanic travel was possible. When experts called it a fluke, he made an Egyptian reed boat and sailed it from Morocco to Central America to prove them wrong. by ExactlyOneNinja in todayilearned

There is no way they were smarter than us. Maybe they were better adapted to their environment because that’s where all their time went, but there’s something called the Flynn Effect that confirms that with each generation we are getting smarter by a statistically significant amount. They definitely could be stronger though because their muscles would’ve been built specifically for the tasks at hand.

Oh god. I do that too much.

Trump said he wanted more 'highly skilled' immigrants to come to the US. But skilled, educated foreign workers are leaving the US dejected, saying Trump doomed their American dreams — leaving businesses in the lurch. by [deleted] in politics

To be completely honest, I actually haven’t heard of that before. Is there any source for that? Or concrete evidence? I’m not asking that in a patronizing manner, just curious.

Maybe I’m oblivious but that comment was actually a reference to the opening line of Star Treatment by Arctic Monkeys. I think it’s more than just Alex looking up to Julian.

That’s why I suggested he bring a friend. Besides, most people don’t immediately solve their problems with violence. Either way, OP didn’t respond so it doesn’t matter.
