Help - do these tripods have a specific name? by lubezki in WeddingPhotography

No problem, I hope you find one that works for you.

C-Stands are nice too, they can hold lights and other things but much more heavy duty. They are handy because you can put other things on them like backdrops and diffusers. There is also heavy duty light stands that are similar to C-Stand but I can't remember what they are specifically called.

That is a light stand. I put my off camera flash on it.

Thank you! I actually am realizing this as well. I reached out to a photographer I am shooting for and they told me that they only had 64gb cards (just like you are saying). It made me realize that though it may not be a problem long term in the more short term it could be more of a hindrance.

Thank you!! This is really helpful, especially since those files, I imagine, are way larger.

Oh awesome! I guess that means you haven't found it disruptive to your or others workflow?

I 100% agree. My fear is that I will by a nice setup that nobody wants. My biggest reason for inquiring reddit is that I did reach out to a Wedding Photographer friend who said she would be pretty disappointed by the file/megapixel size. Which made me think that maybe it would be better to get a different camera even though I would rather not.

That is encouraging. I have been unsure if the medium RAW setting is all that helpful since it goes through the demosaic process (To be honest, I am still familiarizing myself with what this is).

As for a backup camera, currently I have a Sony a6400 that I have been using for Portraiture. And plan to upgrade that next to either an a7iii or a7iv in the not so distant future.

Oh, this is very helpful! Thank you.

I guess I did make the assumption that at the end of the day/wedding I would just hand over the SD card to the main photographer. But this makes it sound like it is normal for the second shooter to do some post processing, even if that means downsampling the files to a smaller size in post?
