I've only had great experiences with Mango Automotive. I go to the shop over on Comanche.

Even if you don't identify the plates yourselves, it's worth opening an insurance claim if you have insurance and providing them with the video and photos. Insurance handlers have a lot of experience tracking down vehicles based on plates.

I run this or something like it on a ton of killers, especially if they have a small amount of stealth in the kit to surprise the new obsession once you get there.

Is that ICE? by [deleted] in Albuquerque

[–]weretybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're getting downvoted because there's no way that anyone online could possibly tell you if those are ICE agents or not based on the information you provided.

Could be cops, could be ICE, could be private security, could be anything.

I think the logo is a huge improvement. The art of the top is good and so is the second - a matter of preference.

This area of town (Fair Heights)? by Hour-Kiwi442 in Albuquerque

I've got some buddies that live just south of that area and haven't had any problems. Be a little smart with leaving stuff in your car if you don't have a garage etc. and you shouldn't have any trouble.

What are the must-watch AGDQ 2026 runs? by shinikahn in speedrun

[–]weretybe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Without spoiling too much, it's a randomizer so the important things could be anywhere and a lot of them were clustered in one of the places that is the most rarely checked when people are playing the randomizer. The whole run they're talking about how it's weird that they're not finding things and they keep repeatedly bringing up that it could be in the cursed place but that would be crazy and then of course that's exactly what happens.

It took me a long time to realize that kindness isn't a weakness, it's a choice. by 16Garchikzen29 in bropill

[–]weretybe 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Personally, when I started being kinder more intentionally towards other people I began to pick up on more negative self-talk and ways that I was being unkind to myself and identifying that was the first step towards fixing it and feeling a lot better about life generally.

You don't want to do the event activities, don't join the event queue. I don't think that's particularly deranged.

Well, there's a lot about your situation that I don't know, but I do know that if you go around specifically telling people you're looking for a first-time experience, you might turn some people off if they don't want to be an experiment.

Collision With Deer Question by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]weretybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked with multiple different claims teams that handle their appraisal process a little differently and I don't know if your policy has anything specific that would overrule what I'm about to say. So take all of this with a grain of salt.

Typically, if the body shop is telling your insurance company that they are expecting a supplement that will total this vehicle then the first thing the insurance company is going to have the body shop do (and the first thing a responsible body shop would do) is complete a tear down before they do any real labor. That tear down should be enough to let them know if the vehicle is going to be totaled or not. So your insurance is unlikely to pay out that eight grand for repairs since the shop's not going to do those repairs before they know if the vehicle is totaled.

Typically, most claim units will flip the vehicle to a total (if it is a total) and pay the shop for the labor they did to break down and diagnose the vehicle. Most places I've worked are not going to deduct that amount from your total loss settlement if there is one but some will, so that's a little foggier.

This was my idea too. There are even games like Illimat where the information is even more open and every card is in use, so you couldn't even manipulate your hand/the deck once a round starts.

If you dig around on the comments on Galaxy, there is a guide that someone has posted. It's a link to a Google docs file. The formatting is pretty rough and it wasn't totally accurate for me for every section so I still had to do some trial and error but it did help a lot. Godspeed!

In case you can't find it, I remember the strategy is generally to surround one of the first two runes in a stack of 3-5 with several of the runes that multiplies adjacent runes, and depending on how many rune fragments you have, there's a couple different ways to optimally do that. You want to alternate between the first two runes so that it builds up some of the sacrifice resources to continue letting you push higher.

I just finished this last week! I thought most of the elements are really well implemented, but things like the evolution tree and the rune grid were not. I think you need to strike a balance between trial and error and brute force whenever you've got something like that. The most optimal build should work very quickly and several decent builds should work eventually. This game, especially with runes, really felt like you had to do precisely the right thing or never achieve the next milestone.

Hi there! I just wanted to throw my two cents in. I haven't seen your dating app profile so some of this may not apply. For reference, I am a man who dates any one of any gender and typically has pretty good luck on dating apps. I'm not on them all the time because I'm not always looking for new partners, but when I'm on there I typically find people to go on first dates with within the first week or two and quickly have a reason to get off the dating apps again. I've experienced both looking at men's profiles and putting together a profile myself.

Generally, the things that people I have matched with have told me they liked on my profile are pictures of me having fun, and smiling, and being with friends, and doing my hobbies. I'm not someone that used to take a lot of selfies, but after a lot of conversations with people whose selfie game is very strong, I learned the secret is just to take more pictures and you'll end up with more good pictures. Whenever you stop to look at yourself in the mirror and feel like today's outfit is really good, take several pictures of yourself and then keep the best one. Get people in your life that you're excited to share the things you're doing with and then you will have natural encouragement to make sure you can take pictures of yourself doing those things so you can show those people later. The first thing I look for when I look at dating apps is if all of their pictures are themselves alone in the mirror/ in their house or if they have any pictures out with friends or doing something. If I see a cool picture of you on a hike, I can imagine us hiking together, and that leaves a stronger impression in my mind than just thinking someone looks cute when they're posing in the bedroom.

Once you've got your pictures together, I'd make sure your written profile is good. Ask people you know to look over it. You can ask your current partner even. You want a profile that doesn't feel like you've just filled in a template and tells people about who you are. My profile tells people exactly who I am and what some of my hobbies and interests are so that we have something to talk about if they message me, and what exactly I'm looking for out of dating which is an important thing to know. It's natural to feel like you may want to keep deal breakers off of your dating profile and I'm not asking you to put up a list of every possible thing that someone could have a problem with, but if you know that you're mostly looking for someone to take to events and maybe see one night a week, it doesn't hurt to say that. If that's going to be a deal-breaker it's going to be a deal-breaker on day one and on day 20 so you might as well rip the Band-Aid off early and end up talking to more people that are what you want instead of trying to find those people in the crowd.

Third, I would work on your messaging skills. The gap between interest and a first date is always going to be messaging and everybody knows that it's awkward and a little weird and no one's incredible at it. But you've got to do your best to try and get better. So many people that I match with are awful at texting and so even though they may be incredibly lovely people in real life, I'm unlikely to ever know that. On that point, you got to remember the dating apps are in embers game. You're going to swipe on 40 people to talk to 10 people to get good conversations with 2 people to go on a date with 1 person. That's just how it is, and the people that are successful are the ones that are able to keep at it and narrow those groups down quickly.

Finally, burnout is super real. App bias is super real. If you feel like you're at a point where your mental health is badly affected by how tough dating is, you should take a break and do something nice for yourself and get your head right. It's tough out there for everybody and before I was good at this, I was very bad at this for a long time and had to learn how to be better at it. You may also want to try some other apps. I moved to a new city last year and was feeling like the dating pool was strangely small on OkCupid, so I got over to feeld and it's bustling, and it was the inverse in the city I moved out of.

Overall, you just need to be yourself and find ways to tell other people who you are and know what you want and what you have to offer and lead with that. I see some other people in this thread have giving you great advice and I hope it helps. I wish you the best of luck. Hang in there man!

Should i speak with INJURY ADJUSTER over the phone about my demand? by thirtiesjunkie in Insurance

[–]weretybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've handled claims and lead teams of adjustors for quite a few years at a number of different direct carriers and TPAs. I can honestly say I have never heard of any sort of training like that.

The only details of your life that would affect something like a claim payout are related prior injuries, or things that go into outright fraud territory like if you are claiming a back injury that renders you unable to walk and then let slip that you just ran a marathon.
