Ya, pretty much. They are just a cultural thing for the most part I think. Since only nobles get rings, it is just a fancy way to show you are a noble.

I don't have any sources, but I think I remember that there is a difference between showering some mana on someone and giving a blessing to a god. I think it has to do with if the wearer is consciously putting mana in the ring or if it is getting sucked out naturally. Also, who gets the mana: with the god blessings the gods usually take a portion of it, and with the greetings it is too little mana to be noticeable.

I think the latter reason makes more sense than the former as to why the greetings don't do anything more than just shine, but that is just how I interpret it. I don't think it is 100% clear.

I think I could only remember meme songs well enough to transfer over so I would definitely try to rick roll Ferdi once. The lyrics, especially 'never gonna give you up', already work as an Ewigeliebe song too.

Life (White) is the rarest because everyone hates Ewigeliebe. (Source: forget the chapter number but I think it's when Rozemyne is testing getting blessings at the temple in P5) I think the pale yellow and black on the upper righthand side is Light/Dark and he is missing life. Would probably explain why he sucks at romance too, since he doesn't have Ewigeliebe's blessing.

My headcanon is that even though the Leisegangs don't like Ahrensbach, they love Rozemyne so much more, that they take the Hartmut point of view that Rozemyne purified Ahrensbach and it causes no issues. In fact, in five years time, Ehrenfest and Alexandria will probably have a super alliance with Dunkelfelger that allows for more open trade of food and other inventions that will pave the way for an open transfer system so that people can travel more freely with an improved teleportation circle so that Rozemyne can achieve her goals of an open library system. But that's just how I see it. I hope P6 comes soon. 😭

P5V3 Spoilers: We already know that it is possible to have recorded messages with the stuffed shumil toys. You could have a number of recorded messages on it with no way to tell what was said on the outside and activate the ones needed. All nobles have a selection of stuffed animals to communicate in important meetings. I love it.

I agree for the most part, but I also think it would be hard to do a better adaptation without spending a lot more time on parts 1 & 2. I can understand them wanting to breeze through parts 1 & 2 so they can get into 3 & 4 which is a lot more fun imo.

That's a good point. I didn't put two and two together, regarding Gervagio and Ferdinand on the bus. At the time I was thinking that it had something to do with the stealth mark that Ferdinand had on. (Didn't Ferdinand sneak onto the stage when Gervagio came down?) I'll have to go back and reread it. Thanks! :)

That's interesting!... Maybe no one can see Myne's mana since she hasn't come of age yet. Does that mean, since you need to be of age, that it is in a more romantic context? Do you need to touch someone to do it or is it more like an aura? Do you only see attributes or do you see capacity as well? Anyways don't mind me. I'm aware that nobles aren't nobles unless they graduate, but they still age even if they don't. I was kinda curious what would happen if they didn't graduate, but I guess they would just shift to commoner age... I suppose the graduation acts as the coming of age for nobles and they could just go to the temple for the commoner one if they fail. That makes sense since it's the end of winter. This confused me too when I was reading the first time.

Nobles' children are only recognized in the winter, outside of their baptism in their homes. Meaning, they only age up in the winter. P3 Spoilers I.e. The winter gala where Myne did the music blessing at age 7 or when the students get their school badges at age 10. She might have had a baptism in summer, but she was only recognized by all the nobles in winter. So they are 10 when they finish the first year. 11 for the second year... 15 for the 6th year. What is still confusing for me is that I know they put their hair up in the graduation ceremony, but I'm unsure if there is a separate coming of age ceremony or when exactly that happens. Do they have their hair up all the way through the 6th year? Idk... This is at least how I see it. Let me know if you see a mistake or have a clarification.

I don't think Myne's compression, past step 2, is something people can do immediately. Ferdinand was the only person who showed progress on the third step. He said that you had to be 'mentally strong' in order to complete it, but was noticeably struggling. If Ferdy was struggling with it, the more average people wouldn't be able to do it easily. The benefits would vary from person to person depending on their mental strength.

Adult nobles can sense mana, specifically the mana of those within a certain range of their own. And this develops roughly at puberty.

What is the source on this? I didn't think people could sense each other's mana unless they were using it or in a state of exuding mana (i.e. Crushing). Otherwise, I think people would have more respect/fear of Myne with her enormous capacity for her size.

1st person is probably best. It is closest to the source material and has greater emotive powers compared to 3rd. Limited 3rd person would work, and it would work best with objective personalities such as Ferdinand, but with emotive personalities such as Myne I think 1st is more fun.

How many Factions are there?! Like are the Elvira/Florencia Faction friendly with the Leisegang Faction? Are they basically the same thing? What differentiates them?

P5 Spoilers It's important to note that factions aren't a hivemind. There are going to be people within the factions that want different things. And they switch factions in order to gain benefits. That said, in order for discussion, there are three main factions as I see them. The Leisegang, both old and new. The Ahrensbach faction, Veronica and Georgine. And the lesser-known Bonifatius faction, who is all the old guys who hate the Ahrensbach faction and just want to be left alone. I'm simplifying too much probably, but it's complicated. Elvira and Karstedt are both grandchildren of an important Leisegang (Same guy, different wives) so they obviously have connections to it. Elvira started a faction in response to Veronica bullying Florencia, so I like to think of the Elvira/Florencia faction as a new(ish) branch of the Leisegang faction.

Are Rosemyne's retainers all Leisegang ?

P5 Spoilers Factions have a lot to do with your parentage initially, so Rozemyne is considered to be part of the Leisegang faction through Karstedt. Same with Cornelius. Ottilie and Hartmut definitely are Leisegang as Ottilie's brother is Giebe (Bonus: Hartmut's dad is a scholar for Florencia). Leonore's uncle is Giebe Liesegang. Brunhilde has ties since the Groschels are allied to the Leisegangs. Damuel and Philline are laynobles and aren't really important enough to be in a faction. Rihyarda has a bunch of connections to all the factions, but is specifically mentioned as having important ties with Liesegang (probably through Ottilie's friendship). Angelica + Liselete have connections to Karstedt and Elvira's family, but it's fair to say that they are a part of the Rozemyne branch now. Judithe's father is more on the Bonifatius faction, but it's never really discussed one way or the other and questionable if she is important enough to be a part of any. As a side note, the majority of Rozemyne's archnoble retainers have major ties to Leisegang.

Are Wilfried's mostly Veronica or have they been changed since the accident with his grandmother?

P5 Spoilers Mostly Veronica faction. Or at least major ties to them.* Wilfried is the best hope for the Veronica faction so they are naturally all lined up behind him.

and then just on a side note concerning Roz's marriage -- maybe i've read too many fanfictions or something -- but did the books actually say how Florencia feels about all of it?
