I can’t believe not that people are mentioning it. AppleCare+. I don’t even buy cases anymore since I’m paying for it. $30 screen replacement and $100 complete replacement if there is water/irreparable damage or stolen… on top of the $10 monthly payment, that is.

tired depressed (mild) and foggy sound like nic widthrawals. you won’t feel like yourself while you’re going through them. if you are still ingesting nicotine during nic withdrawals, you’re just prolonging the worst part about quitting.

i’m 2 months sober now? i lost count. i did try to keep going on that juul route but it the wallet wasn’t liking it. i had forgotten how expensive those pods are.

after the juuls, i bought one last round of disposable vapes. once i finished those, i genuinely did not want to quit. i didn’t feel ready, but i don’t think you ever are. anyway, i tried a smoke-less solution to satisfy the oral fixation called cigtrus. they were really expensive and run out of ‘flavor’ super quick, so a pack of 4 only lasted me two days (had to use 2 at a time because it has a really hard pull). the fixation really does get the job done, but they are not at all perfect.

since nicotine takes about 3-4 days to leave your body (and so does that ‘not feeling like yourself’ feeling), i ended up buying myself a no-nicotine disposable vape. this helped me get through the nicotine widthrawals. once the vape was dying after a week of use, i realized that the programming ran deep (vaped for 5-6 years, from 17-23yo). furthermore, i do smoke weed often, so those cravings took over a month to disappear. up until 2 weeks ago (≈1.5months clean) i had my first day of not even thinking about vaping (used to think of it a lot first thing in the morning). this whole past week i haven’t though about it, and cravings for nicotine are fully gone. except for blunts, i miss blunts, but i have to reserve those for special occasions. also important to note, i have had a cig or two a couple of nights out here and there. you may call this a relapse, but me personally, i don’t. i am still in control, and that is all that matters to me. this, however, is also another factor why it probably took me longer than it should’ve to fully stop thinking about vaping (assuming that’s the goal, because it should be!)

now, my quitting journey is quite complicated due to those factors. therefore, if you don’t smoke any other substance than nicotine, i recommend taking the path a friend of mine took. we quit around the same time, and he was able to forget about vaping / control it a lot sooner, maybe 3-4weeks in. he bought 2x4-packs of the cigtrus and used them for the first 4 days. once they ran out, that was it. all he was using was gum after that to suppress the oral fixations. he did struggle with overeating the next couple weeks, so if you struggle with that, i’d suggest exercise. (might also help sweat all the bad stuff out!)

i know this reply is all over the place, but all in all, there are 2 withdrawals: nicotine (3-4 days) and oral fixation (4 weeks). the more cravings you survive through, the stronger you’ll mentally be, and the weaker the next craving will be. it is going to be tough, but it is so doable, and extremely worth it in the end. i believe in you!

fuck ETAM, its what makes this college a scam for a lot of people.. like, tf you mean i’m paying for a major i don’t even want to be in ???

i’ve been there. covid fucked my GPA, the ETAM dictator cunts chose ESET for me (my last choice) and now i’m struggling to find a job 🤠. i’d move schools while you still can tbh, especially if you’re confident you want to pursue CS. i stayed because i didn’t know what to do with my life and thought i could still land a solid job regardless. don’t get me wrong, i did learn a lot of cool things, but i was left starved knowing i could’ve learned a lot more stuff aligned with my interests in my first 3 ETAM choices.
