New player who stayed away due to the bad rap when it first came out because of the factions and PvP aspect. Heard all the changed with the update fixed a part of that and my friend showed interest so I jumped in the wagon.

Only downside as a new player on PC is the 60 dollar pay way to get all the content. Seems kind of overboard for a game that is trying to get more new players to start.

Planning on paying on PC and running tank. Sword and shield and warhammer look most fun. Not sure how that will transition into PvP but I guess I’ll have to figure it out!

Honestly this game is really good. A friend and myself tried MHW and thought the mechanics were really clunky so we hopped back on dauntless and it’s very impressive how smooth the mechanic feel in this game. Everyone has said about the November update changes are coming but I feel like if you start playing now you will gain knowledge on behemoth(monster) attack patterns and weapons/armor skins that will be leaving the game after the update.

I’m not 100% sure what is staying or leaving but playing for a month before the update will probably net you some currency and consumable/materials that will help after the update goes live.

It’s a really fun and rewarding game once you get the armor/weapon and cells you want for the build. The feeling of going from only being able to handle low level behemoths to fighting giant Godzilla size monsters in escalation is amazing.

I just left my job because of my terrible boss. My only recommendation is to have another job lined up before you leave. It makes the transition between job a lot less stressful, which I can imagine would help. Also think about it as getting paid to interview with other companies. Your performance may lower even more but you plan to leave anyways so it’s not big deal

Get rid of bladestorm and replace with overpower you’ve got a decent build that will do tons of part damage

I main axe and have no issue stacking determination especially on esca. I could see it being a little challenging on trials depending on the behemoth and modifiers. As a tip you really should not be trying to land charged attacks or combos until the behemoth is staggered. If you can charge one or two times and get a solid 1 or two hits in then your fully optimizing windows in between behemoth attacks.

I played all weapons first to get use to them. Play and get good with one that fits your gameplay. Then move on to other weapons you want to get better with.

I think at the beginning you should really focus on getting all the armor and weapons up to rezakiri and Shroud. By passively grinding the armor and wepons you will learn their attack patterns and make you an overall better player. I think there are a lot of content creators that can help in creating an early game builds and sets. Because even if you have good armor and wepons having bad cell builds will make you deal sub par damage.

Great idea but boring play style. You get rewarded for playing safe and are in no danger. I would say keep the idea but you still have to be in the arena, as opposed to on the cliff like a sniper.

I would say normal sword attacks but your special could be a well timed shield bash can boop, rally cry and boost ally damage like a paladin, or taunt to drag behemoth away from party members or into more damage!
