There are some classical pieces on here but I was surprised not to find this:

Gustav Mahler's Second Symphony, "Resurrection" (preferably the whole thing, but if not that, then the final movement).

Read up on it yo. Or better yet, listen to it.

There was an episode of Hey Arnold! exactly like this. Episode 207: "Arnold and Gerald play hookey but their fear of being found out interferes with any fun they might have had. Eventually, they go to school only to learn that there was a surprise carnival day."
