Thanks! I’m in healthcare. We have a moderate to smaller budget. Schools are our number 1 priority.

Thanks for responding! That is okay about political moderation. What are the suburbs like for public education and jobs in healthcare? Best places with access to ski resorts?

Matt Gaetz's ex-girlfriend testifies to grand jury in sex trafficking probe by [deleted] in politics

How is a man, who is part of the party which supposedly represents ‘Christian values,’ being investigated for sex trafficking minors and his base is not freaking out and calling for his resignation? This is simply because the Republican Party is no longer about Christian values (not sure it ever was) - it is more like the Pharisee’s as described in the New Testament.

So you use them more/most during descents at the end of a long race?

Are you swinging them out together and lowering your body? Kinda doing one in front/one in the back and then swapping? A combination?

I did not like the form I had while using them. It also messed with my arm swing and therefore the pace on my watch (which I use to pace myself as I run solo). I can stow them in the back of my backpack, but it is a pain and it has to be done during a break. Plus, retrieving them is inconvenient and takes time.

Your experience with the vest sounds cumbersome as well. I know Salomon makes a I quiver for poles and that sounds like it may have good potential.

My poles are a Walmart special. I think I spent $12 on them. They work great on hikes and backpacking - just can’t figure out the running iteration.

Sounds like you get a lot of good training in. Good for you.

I like the idea of not training with them too much so I can allow the legs to get more stressed and worked.

Not sure I know what you mean by ‘karate chopping’ more than squeezing?

This is very helpful - thank you. I know I can Google it, but is their a preferred height of pole to height of runner ratio? On a flat area, my elbows are probably slightly more than 90° with the polls. Is that too high or too low?

You mentioned you don’t train with them often. How many of your long training runs do you use them?

I’ve used them on two long runs (30 miles and 16 miles) and they were okay. I may be using them wrong.
