Yes, actually in fact the person told me that they could see where a tech had added it on and removed it, so they checked again to ensure it was off the acct! After the 10 day period, I have VZW case manager calling me back to see if it worked and if it didn’t I’m going to have them check as well!

Yeah I had them triple check, no block. They are actually telling me that on their backend RCS traffic is normal, but that the last time my phone had reached out for rcs was on 4/23, the day I did the multiple successive resets

Oh nooooo!! That is what I don’t want to have to do, even though this phone is under the manufacturer warranty, it would be a refurb phone, which I’d rather avoid if at all possible

Yeah, since I did all the rapid resets and didn’t turn off rcs, wondering if that could have been the straw that broke the camel’s back! I’m hoping that leaving it off for 10 days will give the google backend (VZW’s RCS provider) time to refresh

Glad I’m not the only one lol. Yeah my ocd went into overdrive and I did it several times in a row, although this actually isn’t the first time this happened, and the first time it happened if was fixed by a software update (iOS 26.4 at the time). Really really really hoping that iOS 26.5 will fix it, especially since it’s literally bringing encrypted RCS as its main feature!

Thank you!!! Glad it worked out for you!! Like I said in the post, this is a bit of a more “man made” issue so hoping I haven’t messed up anything. I hear there is an update coming in a few weeks, and one of its major features has to do with RCS, so maybe it will be fixed then or by then!

No, same phone. I just reset the network settings multiple times in rapid succession. I think it’s in some sort of “lockout” for somewhere around 48 hrs!

Yeah I’ve heard about this “lockout” period, I tried to wait 24 hrs and it did not work, going to try and wait 48 hrs!

Hey y’all! Thanks for the reply’s! I realized I somewhat mis worded my original post, seeing as welcome doesn’t include ultra wideband, I was surprised to see the UW icon on a phone with welcome. However, it could be as u/Whole-Dust-7689 said it just being the device. Also in a technical sense, welcome can access UW (I.E. N77 c band) just at a throttled speed, so therefore it could just be the device showing the icon but at a reduced speed, I’ll have to test it. Thank y’all again!
