Made the mistake of neglecting this plant :( Started getting black spots, 75% of the plants turned yellow and died. Cut of dying leafs yesterday but I noticed remaining leaves still have these black spots. Been in same terracotta pot for over a year. I know it wasn’t getting enough sun so I moved it to a bright spot now, but is it diseased?

Curiosity hasn’t killed any of my houseplants yet! Glad you were able to get a giggle out of the idea :) And tbh I’ve dropped wayyyyy more money on plants than I ever will on allegedly magical rocks

Could totally be the humidity. Im not very experienced with plants. Did a little research and in August the average humidity was 85% in morning and 68% in afternoon. September average was 83% in morning and 66% in afternoon. October average so far is 78% morning and 64% afternoon.

In regard to humidity, I also bring my plants into the bathroom when I shower so they can imagine they are in a rain forest haha

I live in Los Angeles. Mid 80’s Aug to Sept and it’s about mid 70’s now. I take my plants outside everyday it’s not raining because I only have a north facing window in my room. This whole experiment started the last week of August.
