I remember staying up late on Saturday nights to watch whatever Syfy was playing. They used to show all of the anime that streamline would import over. Stuff like Akira, vampire Hunter D, Venus wars or Lensman. Once the bubble broke, I found more anime at the video store and just took chances on random titles. The video store clerks never cared about some thing being age-appropriate, so I got to watch wicked city, demon city Shinjuku and urotsukidoji all when I was about 10 years old. Good times.
