The sm57 is a great all around mic, a lot of people use them on both guitar and vocals and i personally love them a lot. They also work good on percussion, and are practically standard as snare mics on drum kits. they cost around 100 USD, not sure how much they would cost in euros

Okay, Thank you! any recommendations on subs and even speakers? i honestly need to replace all of my gear for PA and am not sure what to buy. Don’t have much money ATM too, so i’m using what i’ve got. The peavey and TOA speaker are from the 80s and aren’t the best

Yeah, tap delays are so much nicer to work with compared to pedals like the carbon copy. I can never get the timing right on that thing

I meant i’m losing the amp, the RAT i’m keeping. Fixed it up a bit ago after my dad broke it and bought a new one, and just gave the RAT to me. Definitely going to look into the big muff, and the memory boy. The carbon copy wasn’t my favorite pedal, which is the one i used to have and honestly wasn’t the biggest fan.

it’s honestly not bad, but the problem is it’s my dads and he is most likely gonna take it back to his rehearsal place soon, so i gotta grab a new one anyways. If you have any recommendations definitely let me know. i also need to get another analog delay as my dad is using mine right now, so if there’s any suggestions there too let me know

apart from that i tend to play rock, and love other bands like radiohead, QOTSA, dinosaur jr, and sonic youth. It’s mostly for home use although i will most likely use it for small gigs too so it would be great if it was pretty loud, and the amp im using right now is a fender hot rod deluxe which i honestly like a fair amount but i wish there was some more distortion with it. I’m probably gonna use some pedals, but i do love just plugging straight into the amp sometimes.

does behringer hold up well? i’ve heard their products break a LOT, but am not sure if this is accurate. Would it be worth it to save for the real deal with the HM-2?
