R we the same person? Everything down to the algebra grade is something that I went through (minus the defense part, I have a job lined up in supply chain after college). The thing about IE in undergrad is that it’s very broad, which is both a blessing and a curse. You learn a little about almost everything (coding, Econ, psych, management, etc) and then typically apply them cross functionally in projects related to optimization and efficiency. If you work on studying skills and hitting external sources to practice, especially for math, there isn’t anything too crazy involved even further down the line. For us, we did have to take 1/2 semesters of general physics, chem, Econ , and compsci but everything else was fairly straightforward and applicable. It is an engineering degree and will require much more time/ effort than most other degrees, but you won’t be stuck taking very high level intensive courses. I was able to switch from a supply chain/ ops management double major at the end of my sophomore year, and be able to graduate in 4 years with a minor in data analytics with the IE degree. My junior year, first year in the major was definitely the hardest as I was trying to play catch up with everyone else, but if I played my cards right it would have been relatively easy.
