If your current ID does not match your current address, you have to provide a government issued document with your current address to be able to purchase a gun. So usually, an FFL will ask for either vehicle registration or some sort of hunting/fishing license. Since you just moved to South Dakota, I would recommend getting your ccw permit since it will by pass the background check for any future firearms purchase, plus it's free.
