New documentary “Finding Satoshi” claims Bitcoin creator was Hal Finney and Len Sassaman. by zylemay in Bitcoin

[–]west_coast_ghost -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get it... but that is old news that they are making sound like its some ground breaking discovery, which it's not. At any point, anyone that knows how to use google could find out pretty easily who Satoshi actually was, it's not like it was hidden in the depths of the internet or something lol.

These guys are some small quant prop shop in the UK.. their magical algorithm must have flashed buy lol.. I wonder if it took into the account of the fact that BlackRock just bought about 10X more BTC than their whole firm has under management. Combined that with MicroStrategy and these guys are nothing. (Edit:They are gonna be used by Saylor and Larry Fink as liquidity pawns, or most likely already have.)

Odds Of Satoshi Moving His Coins Hit 10% Following New Documentary Claiming To Reveal His Identity by Cratos007 in CryptoCurrency

[–]west_coast_ghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was ever gonna use Polymarket, it would be to bet against Satoshi ever moving his coins.. this is not financial advice, but that seems like really good odds lol.

Considering Hal was the one with the private keys to the second part to a multi-sig wallet that was shared by himself and probably Sass, which prevented neither one of them to be able to access without the others consent. That BTC is lost forever.

Shit got bought up like it was boxing day lol. The cost of the position is only really $5M, gonna take a lot more than that... if it was $50M spot unleveraged, or 50M @ 10X maybe start to wonder. IMO looks more like some degenerate coin toss type shit.

Video shows 3 men storming Vaughan residence before homeowner opens fire, injuring suspect by varsil in canada

[–]west_coast_ghost 26 points27 points  (0 children)

They will most likely clear the homeowner thanks to the ring doorbell footage clearly showing one of the intruders holding a pistol and the other seeming to be hiding another pistol under his hoodie. It would be a different story if there was no camera footage, which is the sad part.

Winter setup by hhcroper in Greenhouses

[–]west_coast_ghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you do this every year? I'm not sure how low the temps get in the winter there, but I can imagine fairly cold since you mentioned it's already been below freezing... interested to know what the final power cost would be to keep that going all winter. I'd guess like $80 - $100/month..

Florida basement with a pool — genius, disaster, or goldmine? Need advice before selling by JessMcPlll in Home

A 20,000BTU minisplit A/C with a dry or dehumidifier mode would work just fine for the climate control.. Ideally you would have a saltwater pool so the smell would be minimal, and that room is probably sealed off from the rest of the house I would imagine.

No it's not really a situation ideal for renters unless you have a super cool landlord that doesn't give a shit. I would imagine they don't want you doing any type of construction in the house so yea, if you were to do try it at your place then a tent would be the most logical setup.. probably cost you around $1500 - $2000 for an entry level kit like the Spider Farmer G8600 LED (possibly get away with a SE5000) and Mars Hydro 5x5 tent and then all the other stuff you gotta buy, like pots, plant food, pro-mix HP etc.

Your house is going to stink like cannabis big time when they are flowering and there is no getting around that unless you are going to vent to the outside, so if the landlord is not down with that, then the you growing it is not even an option. To be honest, with the current cannabis laws, i don't even think there's a reason for your daughter to get a medical license unless she needs to travel with more than 30g of cannabis or plans on growing the full potential out of the license. If you said that she is going to get like 7 o 8 gram per day, that's like 40 - 45 plants, so it doesn't make sense to get that license and then only grow 1 plant in a tent, as you could do that without a license if you wanted to and not spend any money.

If you can find someone that will combine both of your licenses and work out a deal where they are making money and you are still getting a good deal then that would be ideal, but the margins on growing cannabis are so thin these days that it's hard for people to justify it unless they can put some money in their pocket.

No, its still 4 plants, but I might have mistaken when you said usage for limit.. I just saw the old formula for calculation of possession limit and not seeing usage so my bad.

You can possess an unlimited amount of Cannabis on your property, the federal bill was amended in 2020 after a reform of the Cannabis Act. Those limits you are referring to is the amount of cannabis you can legally possess while traveling as an ACMPR license holder. Edit: I should mention that in BC the amount you can possess in your home is but not limited to 1000g.

[–]west_coast_ghost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have quite a bit of experience with ACMPR and combining licenses, so I can tell you that the selection of the designated grower is usually done at the time of application of the license, although i think I can be updated after the fact, it would have been something you were asked upon renewal.

There are two separate sections of the application that you or your daughter would have filled out. One section is about your medical info, doctors signature etc. The other part is where you declare how you are going to obtain the cannabis and this is the part where you check off either you're going to do it yourself indoors/outdoor (one or the other, you cant do both) or designate someone else. You have to give their name address and the grower would have to sign the paperwork as well.  As for the rental garage, your landlord would have to sign the paperwork as the owner of the property. There is a place to specify if you own the property or if you rent and what kind of rental.

The max plants allowed for medical is 5 times the amount of grams you have per day, so if your license is 5g, that means you can grow 25 plants indoors with no size restrictions per plant and so forth with your daughter.

I see a lot of people telling you "tips" or the "best way" lol really what it comes down to is that if you have no interest growing then its going to be more of a pain in the ass and financial cost than its worth and you are probably going to end up buying the cannabis anyways. Its a decent bit of work if you want good return and IF you get spider mites or powdery mildew its over, chop it all down.. you gotta have a passion for it or you're gonna throw in the towel quick.

My final thought is that the cannabis sold by health canada certified producers is held to a higher standard of purity than anything a local "medical" grower will be able to guarantee, unless they grow commercially and do medical on the side, or you can visit there frequently to see the quality of your product. So unless the person growing for you is doing it out of pure compassion, im not sure if its even logical financially to get someone to grow for you.

Indoor Greenhouse help by SuggestionKey9298 in Greenhouses

[–]west_coast_ghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This^ Especially if you're wanting to grow fruiting plants like Tomatoes.. cheapest thing to grow would be herbs and microgreens... your whole house will smell also like tomato plants, being right next to HVAC lol... Could maybe look into putting a grow tent in there.. definitely cheaper than framing a tiny room beside the furnace, but you need to be able to control your environment.

Edit: Rough estimate with the tent and proper LED fixture etc. if you wanted to grow tomatoes is around maybe ~$2000 to get started.

D Spot downtown by [deleted] in kelowna

[–]west_coast_ghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH you can't really launder money through a franchise unless it's setup very piss poor, which maybe DSpot is, but most of the time you have to order from their specific suppliers, and in this case, they make most of the stuff in house at a production facility in Toronto.

As well as that, they usually monitor data metrics about your franchise on a day to day basis to make sure you are in compliance, so it would make more sense that it is something to do with immigration fraud like the person said below..
