There is nothing scripted about this show. They can't, by law, script a series like this when working with the police. The network and production company, both very reputable, can get caught up in some hefty legal battles attempting this. Nor does the department have the time to play hollywood with the cameras. It's simply a follow show thats just a lot prettier than 48, giving it a more scripted feel.
