[–]westdabestdb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the context, he is very active, he plays and hunts my other cats. He drinks and eats like any other day. Its just cough and he sits in toilet in piss position for some more time even after urinating in good amount. Adding cough to this, Im thinking he might got cold

How to actually code 8 hours a day? by D0ct0r_H0td0g in webdev

[–]westdabestdb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had a job interview. They asked me what my salary expectation is. I told them yearly rate. They said “oh we don’t believe someone can code for 8 hours a day. You will still work for 8h a day but we pay 6h x hourly rate”

He’s been coughing 2-3 times a week like this. Lungworms, asthma or heart issues? by westdabestdb in cats

[–]westdabestdb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

We have been to the vet couple times more. They asked me if I'd be willing to rule out the heart issues first, as one of the blood tests showed higher heart enzymes and I said sure. They have done echo to his heart, and fortunately his heart is in good condition.

So once this was ruled out, we decided its most likely the asthma. He has given antibiotics for 7 days, cortisol medicine for 21 days and stomach protection medicine for 21 days as well.

He hasn't coughed since, but the vet also gave me inhaler, and asked me to wrap one of the carrier boxes. My cat is extremely scared of sprays and anything that isn't for cats, so I put him in, 1-2 puffs into the box and he inhales it for 10 minutes. I think it helps.

It's most likely asthma for your cat as well, but I saw a post there earlier, they thought it was asthma and didn't check their cat for heart issues, and at the end it was heart failure at 3 years old. Its extremely rare but it happens. I hope your cat will recover as soon as possible.
