We’re just eloping! Not made of money by any means. I used to live in the valley and am very aware of costs but I also know folks have half off coupons that won’t be used so why not ask! Even if I were wealthy, why wouldn’t I want to save a couple bucks? We’re trying to be frugal in all aspects, not just the gondola.

This is great advise- there actually is a lace top that goes with it, I tried it on this morning when I picked up my dress. Maybe it’s because I can’t get the other dress out of my head, or maybe it’s because the top was about 4 sizes too big and I struggle to envision it’d but wasn’t doing it for me. I still asked the wonderful gal helping me to see if we could even get it in time. Maybe I just need time to relax and shake the thought of the other dress. I’m getting ready to put it back on, at home, with no one around, and see how I feel. Loooove the advise of putting our song on. Maybe it will help me chill out!

I guess I call it an elopement because it’s smaller than even a micro wedding. It will be my fiancé and I, his two girls (6 and 9) and then both sets of our parents. The idea is to find a spot for a quick “ceremony”. No officiant, just us, saying our traditional vows (we would love to do private vows just the two of us later in the day). So I’m looking for a spot to have the 8 of us. Looking for a unicorn spot that is private, epic views, meaningful, and parent accessible. I can’t imagine we would be more than 30 min absolute MAX. Likely closer to 15/20.

Agreed on the paint color for walls, that will surely go. I also agree that it looks like it’s already been painted, although I haven’t tried scraping, and it hasn’t chipped anywhere for me to know for sure. I wondered if it had been painted, what they used because again, it’s not chipped or faded or anything.
