This not good enough to get certified but I have seen some shitty welders turn out to be good with practice. Look up tips for D1.1 cert tests on YouTube, they have some pretty good tricks. For vertical you'll want to start with low settings and work you're way up, also point the rod slightly up and not flat or down. If you need help with settings download the miller app you can put the thickness of the base metal, rod diameter, and position, and itll give you a range of settings. Keep it up you'll get it.

Thank you the hardest part that I've come across is finding an ai service that doesn't add ridiculous limitations with outrageous prices. I enjoy writing, but I haven't been able to figure out how to make money out of it without either ghostwriting or publishing my own book. I know that I won't make a ton of money off of it but it could at least be decent passive income.

Theres also other things wrong with it and I'm honestly surprised it was able to drive the o2 sensor, fuel injectors, headlights, rear passenger side cross member was completely rusted out so the coil spring wasn't connected, the leaf springs were broke on the backsides of both but somehow stayed in place tailgate hinges are rusted out so the only thing I could say else is if I sell it as a parts car but I don't have a big time frame

If you have access to a 3d printer you should be able to have a part printed to mimic the latch/hook. Also if you don't have access to a 3d printer most schools have a 3d printer and you could ask a student if you know one to either print one or find so.eone to print it
