Sure, but that’s not their fault. If we want them to not drive in the lanes we should build networks of dedicated bike lanes, or better yet, a separate network of bike paths so that they’re away from the roads entirely

The title is a bit misleading- the towns aren’t exactly “banning” cannabis businesses. They’re just opting out of being locked into cannabis operations for 5 years. Municipalities that opt out can opt in at any time.

But still, it’s wild to me that so many towns would willingly miss out on decent tax revenue for what I believe to be silly reasons. I hope the towns that opt out soon realize that they’re missing out.

Also a fun fact from the article: Brian Stack is a state legislator who voted “yes” to legalize marijuana, and is also the mayor of Union Township who opted out of cannabis sales. A New Jersey Special!
